Hi spendtoomuch

Hi Spendtoomuch,
Just wanted to say hi and hoping to read you diary over the coming year.
I am also planning on digging my way out of debt.
It feels like a struggle at times but it will be worth it.
BBOriginal debt at LBM July 2008, £47, 654.34. Debt at January 2016, £21,443. Barclaycard [STRIKE]£9,000[/STRIKE]£8,756, Tesco cc [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£1,136. Debenhams storecard [STRIKE]£350[/STRIKE]£263, OD [STRIKE]£3,500[/STRIKE] £3,000, Corp Tax £3,036, Study loan £1,750, Smaller debts £2,000.
Since my LBM I have not been fully committed so now I have had a 2nd LBM.
Aiming to be debt free by December 2016:D0 -
Hi Mum2one and BabyBetty and thanks for posting. Re the bottled water thing, the one he drinks is the volvic touch of lemon and due to his Aspergers he would know if it was not the exact brand and flavour unfortunately. I do get disability living allowance for him so I kind of think it should be spent on him anyway. Mind you it will go to him when he is 18 which is in June so then he will pay keep! He is on an apprenticeship earning £100 at the moment.
Wow Dominican sounds fab. My biggest motivation is to take my lot to Florida and I could take the money out of the inheritance I get but I WILL NOT, its paying off debt and I will do the sensible thing and save when the debt has gone.
I do need to do a budgeting plan but find it hard to stick to a food budget. What do you do if you go over, put things back. I might start shopping online as at least you know how much you are spending and can put things back! There is the delivery charge to pay but I figure you won't be as tempted to pick up things from the shelf cos they look good!
Mum2one I am sure you have a diary don't you? Bettybaby have you got a diary and if not have you thought of starting one?
I am off today to buy a bike for DS2 (his own money he got for Christmas) and DS3 wants to buy a Wii game with his money. I so want my boys to be better with money than I have been and they both save into the school bank each week. My parents were very frivilous with money when I was growing up and although I don't blame them for me being the same I do think it has some bearing and I want my 3 to know the value of money and save.
You are right Mum2one writing it down does really help. I do feel I have let my family down by getting into debt but I know I have a chance to change that now.
