If I hadn't just spent my last £1.25 on all those chocolate Oranges from Argos, I'd buy one myself.
Thats not 1080p!
I tried a few Tesco, all out of stock, but have a picture of the £199 price from the shelf, it is true.0 -

What's an i or p amongst friends? :beer:
1080p == 1920 x 1080 progressive scan (50 frames a second)
1080i == 1920 x 1080 interlaced (25 frames a second)
The TV you pointed out doesn't have all of those pixels, its ...
1366 x 720 or .................
720p
Its the 1080p that makes this such a steal at £1990 -
Its not even 1080i either:beer::beer:

..If it's not an 1080i, why is it ticked as such on the specification sheet?
Are you accusing Sainsbury's of mis-selling and mis-advertising?
Would you still be happy with a 1080P TV, if the picture and sound stopped working after 4 days and 6 hours?"One truly finds Aldi, Lidl and Netto, way too decadent for ones budget"0 -

Not at all, as they state its 1366 x 768 (my small mistake there)
The tick for 1080i means that if you feed it a 1080i signal then it can display it, as it will downscale the picture from 1920x1080i to 1366x768 - which is this sets "native" resolution.
As per all UK goods, this will come with a 12 month warranty, so if it broke down I would of course not be happy, but would know that Tesco would take care of me. I assume you've had a bad experience?
The Sainsburys TV is described as "HD Ready", the Tesco one "FullHD or 1080p".0 -
