  • Its in the Daily Star Sunday also. Was the TV priced instore at a higher price? I read on another forum that in a store somewhere it was priced at £329 but at the checkout scanned at £199.
  • WOW, its amazing what a phone call to Tesco CS!

My local store has now fixed this PI problem and they are holding one for me for the next hour! Hopefully OH will finish on time and wont mind me spending £200 on a new tv which we dont really need.........emmmm....

for anyone who didnt managed to get 1, if this helps, i was in argos today and they had a grundig 32" for £199 on display. iv looked online but cant seem to find it so cant post a link. they also had some other 26" with built in dvd player for £169 i think
  • When i tried to order mine earlier (about elevenish this morning) .... after seeing the ad in the NotW for £199, went online and they were advertised online at £299, rang them up, had to hold for about 10 minutes, spoke to a chap who said they were still priced at £299, as the computer hadnt updated the latest price, advised me to order at £299 then i would be refunded within a couple of days for the £100 to make it £199 ..... i agreed to do this (thinking i might have a row with Tesco at a later date) ...... as he was processing my order, the price changed and i paid £199 ....... fingers crossed got a bargain, being delivered on Wednesday !!!

Im getting it still come up on line so please anyone interested give it a shot until midnight, they must still honour the price, you never know
  • We eventually got one in the Perth Extra Store. They were going through the tills at £329.

After having a heated discussion with the duty manager , stating that they are advertised at £199 in some papers , He admitted that the store had received notification from Head Office but that they hadn't reduced the price. He insisted that we go to the Tesco direct Desk and order one from there but they were out of stock.

I stuck to my guns and eventually, he got someone to change the price from £329 to £199. Mother in law well chuffed and brownie points for me.

They had 5 left when we left the store.

Is this the Edinburgh Road Store?

You should have asked for 'double the difference' do you not get that if they overcharge you.

Imagine, charged £329, so £130 overcharged x2 is £260 back so would only really cost £69.

Might go and buy the other 5 :rotfl:
