  • Any room for a latecomer to this challenge?
I only just made my seven days in December (last NSD was actually the 31st!).
So I am going for seven again in January - first NSD was yesterday!

This snow is starting to do my head in.

Me too!! I feel like I'm going bonkers. My waste water pipes (ie from bathroom sink) have frozen. I'm sat here feeling like the end-of-the-world-is nigh. Either that or it's the plot of the film 'the day after tomorrow'. Am feeling rather down-hearted by it all. And am paranoid that heating is going to breakdown or am going to have burst pipes.

Even though I could go for a walk somewhere (not that I would, because I can't have a shower and not only am I concerned about being smelly but my hair is unkempt and i look like the Wild Woman of the West ) - because I can't use my car I feel really isolated.........and lonely......and pathetic.
  • Hi everyone, another latecomer - sorry!
Tried this before, but I forget to post, so I'm going to try again. Can I have 10 please? 2 down (1st and 4th jan), 8 to go. Good luck to u all!
    Thanks

  • NSD 5 for me today ;)

I'm glad it's not just me fed up with this never-ending snow and more forecast  I don't know where its all coming from but I wish it would go back grrrrr. I'm feeling naff today, my asthma is playing up big time, I can barely walk to the bathroom without gasping for breath and needing my inhaler   so even if I wanted to go out spending I can't so every cloud does have a silver (snow-filled :() lining.

It's nearly summer again though.......right?

Love and hugs to all, stay safe and warm xxx

    NSD no 4 today!

We'll have to get some milk and potatoes tomorrow...and no doubt other things that we think of...salt could be one, though I doubt if there will be any left! Hope we can get out of the lane!

DS2 has tomorrow off school again (been closed since Tuesday lunchtime), hoping it's open on Monday as he has AS exams next week!!

DH has to take DS1 back to Warwick Uni on Saturday, and thankfully the weather looks ok for then. The main roads are fine, it's just getting out of our lane that's the problem, hope we can manage it!

DH and DS2 spend time trying to clear the lane today, first of the 7 inches of snow, then the couple of inches of ice!!! It was back breaking work, but good exercise! With my bad back I was only able to give advice and take piccies...and find some salt!!

Off to make pasta & cheese sauce for tea...lovely comfort food - needed in this cold!

It's already down to minus 6.1 degrees Celcius, and getting colder by the minute! Hey hoh...all this cold weather is a great excuse to avoid spending money!!
