    Just a quick Update.

If all goes well today I should get NSD number 5 today, the last 3 days were all NSD's, so I'm hoping

There's not set rules ceebeeby, whatever works for you really. I wouldn't count it as it's necessary.

Some people don't count petrol as a spend, but as I do I've had a spend day today, silly car!
I count petrol because I don't use the car for work. I also try to remember to get petrol on a day while I'm spending on other stuff, so there are many ways to look at it. PLEASE REMEMBER FOLKS--this Challenge is primarily for FUN grinning-smiley-028.gif There are no set rules & the only real goal is to help identify the not-so-good buying habits & hopefully change them to save some money. I would think nothing of calling me muvva every day to see if she needed something & off we'd go, but now I ask her if she really needs it today or can it go on the list for our planned shop later in the week.

skaps - I'm thinking if I get to 10 NSD I'll keep going and then next month might increase my target by a couple! IF i get to 10 that is!
That's what most folk do too, Lou & I'm sure you'll get to Target :D
Sometimes people will publicly announce their intention to increase the target they first set Skaps & that's OK too. Like everything else on this thread--it is entirely YOUR decision.

Hope everyone stays warm & SAFE today; the van that had trouble with a severe frost earlier in the week only managed to get ten houses up the road in 40 mins & that was with neighbours helping to push :( It's been parked up now so anyone
[STRIKE]stupid enough to try[/STRIKE]able can pass, but the road is narrow enough before all the snow forced the cars to park further away from the kerbs :o

Morning all, I'm not 'planning' to spend anything today although we are now totally out of milk!! Okay for me, as I drink black tea and coffee, but can't see DH lasting the day!

Am hoping to work out this very long overdue travel expense form at work - haven't claimed for 18 months as could never really see the point - lightbulb is firmly switched on now though!!!

Another NSD here yesterday (snowed in :D) which makes 3/10 so doing quite well !

I think today should be another one but I might need to pop out and get some bread if I can't find any in the freezer - actually scrap that, I'll make a loaf - I think I've got all the stuff in .

I'll probably have to go and get some supplies tomorrow though, milk, eggs, pack-up for next week but the weekend should be good as we've no plans. Only spend I can foresee is DS subs for footie but I don't think they'll be playing somehow .

Can I join too please. I'd like to pledge 10 days - this is to cover any spending from my own account and any spending from the joint account except standing orders and direct debits. I've clocked up 2 nsds so far and today is likely to be day number 3.

Another NSD yesterday - the only thing I thought about buying was a local paper which would probably be full of pictures of snow.
Believe me I can see the snow!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
  • Morning all! Late for work today thanks to weather but the wellies are on!! As I am late I grabbed a flapjack from the stash I made this weekend so I can eat breakfast on the way and avoid the coffee shop. I CAN resist!!

Hope those of you stuck at home don't get too bored... But it is so bitterly cold outside stay in nice and warm!

Reckon I can make today another NSD with the help of my packed lunch and flapjack emergency breakfast. But the biggest help is the snow asI just don't want to venture outside in the ice and cold!!

Stay safe and warm people, your posts insipre me and sometimes make me giggle...
