....1.Amazing this site, to type words to complete strangers who end up feeling more like friends who you'll never meet in person!!
    ....
2.Also not sure if this is the right place to ask, but you all seem such helpful friendly people, does anyone know how to make old red and black quarry tiles shiny and polished looking??
Point No1..tis good innit grinning-smiley-021.gifI saw someone's photos the other day when they'd linked to something, then convinced mesen I'd seen them in town cheeky-smiley-025.gif
Point 2..angry-smiley-053.gifIt was on one of those DIY programmes t'other day too; I was kinda listening, but we haven't got them so didn't really register it as something I should know :doh:Got a feeling it was white spirit & fine wire wool, but don't quote me :o

    I've had two spend days--nowt too drastic & I'm hoping that'll be me done for the rest of the week  . . . . . . . . . . . . . I can dream can't I sleeping-smiley-011.gif

I'm doing terribly - only four so far and no chance of meeting my target :(
It is my first month though, I think I aimed a bit high. Its also a bit of an eyeopener to see how often I do spend money!! I am well under on my grocery challenge however, and most of my spend days have been either petrol or electric tokens, so next month I'll stock up after payday and hopefully meet my target. Well done the rest of you, everyone is doing really well!! :T:T:T

NSD number 8 today! :j I'm proper pleased! Tommorow won't be unfortunately, but hoping for another NSD before the end of the week. My target seems more manageable now.:D

As ever, thanks for the inspiration everyone! I love this challenge; it really makes you think.

Hugs to everyone who needs one; congratulations to everyone who is doing well; and best wishes to all!
  • Hi everyone, had a spend day today, drive out to diy store to get paint for wood work in lounge, £10.58!!!, with i can now proudly say is finished and looking lovely, also gone from a dark vintage green to an off-white so room looks loads brighter, so might not need lights on as much!!!! also got some milk to last till Thursday so hopefully next two days will be NSD's.

Also after living here for.......well forever, finally got hubby to make fires in wood burner in lounge, only ever used it before when boiler had packed in and house is warmer than when heating was on. heating set at 18 degrees and its 24 degrees now!!!! and its all free as burning old wood thats been stored for years!!! told hubby and workers they will be cutting more wood come spring/summer.

    Well done to everyone!!
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

A spend day for me but it was only 2.50. Was not going to get my eyebrows done but they did look hideous and i do need to look presentable for work. Hopefully tomorrow will be a NSD for me.
