    Morning everyone.

DS is playing with a muscial mat purchased for his sister  Why did I even bother buying him his own gifts when he loves hers just as much :rotfl:
I am getting the urge to get the main bulk of Christmas decs down :o It's just Christmas feels "over" to me and I want the house rid of some of the clutter - sorry once Christmas is finished I don't see the point of lots of decs hanging around for new year (probably why we put them up so early - I like to make the most of them as even if I put them up the week before Christmas I'd be wanting them down :o) So might be having a tidy round, put some more washing on and see about the massive pile of ironing. It's raining here too so no idea what to do with the kids today....

NPM - DS has always been a poor sleeper but he's sooooo clingy for his dad it's untrue. I got into bed to snuggle him this morning and he was crying for his daddy  Likewise DD has self settled from birth and yet the last week won't go to sleep unless she's cuddled for some reason

Taplady - sorry about Janet xx

Nic1lou2 - Sorry to hear things are strained for you and your friend x

Tru - am loving Mogs and well done on the first egg :T I'd love chickens but then again I'd love a small holding in the country - no room in my garden for everything.

Enjoy your Sundays, OS or not. Hugs to those that need them.

Nic1lou2 You did warn me about the scarves I niow know what you mean :rotfl: I shall have to tell DD to wear it hidden under her coat! Sorry to read about your friend. I'd give her some time and then see in a month or so if it's any better between you ((hugs))

NPM Glad the toilet calendar went down well. I was telling my friend about it yesterday as she has another friend who has a son with Autism so understood. Hope you get out & about today :D

Taplady So sorry to read about Janet. Life just doesn't seem fair sometimes.

I'm still the only one up :T so I'm making the most of it & getting on the computer while I can.
  • Bitsy I too want the decs down:rotfl:. Christmas is over now to me and i want to take them down and have a good clean through:p:D. I like the run up to Xmas and put my decs up early. Once Xmas day is over thats it for me. So glad it isnt just me:p

It was a very exciting day yesterday - Mogs laid her first egg :j:D
Reading that brought back memories of when I was a young girl (so that's when dinosaurs were still alive). My grandfather kept chickens in a huge run and once a week me and mum would go and visit, while she was doing a bit of tidying and cleaning I would sneak into the hen run and down at the far end I would turn the soil over, the funniest thing on this planet is seeing about a dozen hens running hell for leather to get the first worm.

Did Mogs let you know she had laid an egg, I seem to recall there used to be a lot of loud clucking by certain hens after such an event.

Sorry rambled a bit there. It was just the vision in my minds eye of those hens running.:rotfl:
Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw

Woofles, she always squawks at planes flying over. She was squawking yesterday, there were no planes so she must have been announcing her achievement and we didn't even notice :rotfl:

  • Hi Everyone!!

Well this is my first day in an age with NOTHING to do, OH is at work until 10.30 a.m. and then again at 3 p.m., obviously run up to Xmas was busy then lots of visiting and going out Xmas Eve, visiting and lunch Xmas Day, boxing day sale (shudder) and visiting yesterday.

I love how my version of doing nothing though includes laundry, all the Xmas dishes, hopefully making turkey soup, meal plans for next week (already done) but at least I can stay in pjs and it is all by choice!!

    Good morning,

Yesterday Grumpy the House Elf and I tidied the junk room. I still need to go through the rest of the stuff that's up there, but I have put all of dh's tools away, and there is a giant pile of bags for my friend to take to the tip tomorrow. There is also a smaller pile for the charity shop.

After that, Grumpy suggested we take the tree down as the cat was undoing the tinsel, so we did. He is currently sitting in front of the tv with a slice of home made Christmas cake (with the icing removed, he doesn't like it) saying "ahh, this is the life isn't it mum?" Five going on forty five :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yesterday I hoovered the whole house and cleaned up a bit. I have some ironing to do, but we're going to my aunty's house for breakfast soon, and then on to my friend's Christmas party for children, so I doubt very much that I will get anything done today.

Take care all of you, and many congratulations to Mogs :rotfl::T

Brace! Brace! My bro, SIL and children arrive at lunch time and my parents don't go til tonight, so will be 11 for lunch and dinner. Need to get cleared up a bit and cleaned up a bit.

Yesterday dh took nephew home in the morning. Kids played on my birthday Wii and we saw Strictly Ballroom. I hadn't seen it before. Parents not impressed with this as form of entertainment.

Finished socks for nephew to go with his Christmas present last night.

Got to go out and it's foul out there. Just need some fresh stuff from Aldi.

    Got to go.

    Morning everyone
DS & GF arrived at 8pm last night, so Christmas has started. They were going to go to a party nearby but it had fizzled out before they arrived, it has started at lunch time. Opened their presents - were very pleased with them, espcially some of the M&S half price or less glitches. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:The After Dinner pack went down partiularly well. DS has money mainly, but had asked for a set of Le Cruset dishes on offer, and had stocked him and his GF up with Shower and other toiletries, as I know it saves them all year. Not forgetting the Haribo sweets they are both partial too. They bought me a lovely pair of earrings, and DH some clothes.

The whole bungalow is in total chaos with their belongings stretching from kitchen, to lounge (plus pressies unwrapped) but order will be restored later. DS is up watching record MOTD and GF is catching up on sleep.

I've decamped to spared bedroom/office and DH is suffering MOTD.

    Take care - DG
