  • Right, I'm jumping in now with both feet :D

I'm going to hopefully set up a cake/cupcake business from home :D :j

But I just don't know where to start :( I've already got a certificate for level 1 of sugarcraft :D :T

I want to get everything set up to start taking orders from the new year as that's when I can earn again as I'm on Maternity Allowance at the mo.

    Any Ideas any one?

Also could you PM me as well please Moomin?

Just ordered my first set of business cards ready for my first official farmers market next week! What do you think everyone?

  • Thanks Nat :) The cases are from a local(ish) cake decorating place, and yes, they're muffin size. There are some fab ones on Ebay if you're struggling to find them; have a look at Bakepal and Cuteasacupcake on there, or the Cakes Cookies and Craft site always has cases on 4 for 3, although I find them generally quite expensive.

Loving the business cards Bluefire :D

    Bad times today :(

Had my first batch of cupcakes that didn't turn out how they should have :( But also, I'm having difficult persuading the OH to allow me to welcome EHO to inspect our home. I'm confident our kitchen has the facilities to pass the inspection but OH is very cautious about a few things - mainly, that we will have to pay business rates on the kitchen on top of normal council tax and if there, heaven forbid, should be a fire in the kitchen our home insurance would be void as its a business premisis. So I'm not having much luck trying to fight this, but fight I will... :(

    Just down today :(

I agree, your cakes are fantastic and I too don't seem to get on very well with fondant, I start level 2 sugarcraft on Tuesday so finger crossed I will learn all that I want to know.
