OMG!!! Just took my first giant cupcake out of the oven and they have both totally sunk in the middle. They are both cooked and i didn't open the oven door at any other point so what has happened???

On closer inspection the bottom part is not only sunk in the middle but totally hollow!!! :(

    HELP!

The 2nd one came out slightly better. They didn't sink in the middle but i have a feeling the middle of the base is hollow. I'm totally stumped as to how this has happened!

I'm gonna use them anyways and just fill the hole with extra buttercream. It'll be fine......... i hope!

PS - should add that these aren't orders, one is for my auntie's birthday and the other a colleagues birthday.

From what i know you need to register your business, get your kitchen checked out by environmental health, register with the tax people as self employed possibly get some sort of insurance and as an option do your food hygeine certificate (i think this is optional im not sure). Anyone if i am wrong with any of this then let me know. it sounds alot but really it isnt, its just getting you butt into gear and sorting it out, like i need to. Hope this helps. The hard part im finding is coming up with a name for your business.

Thank you, I am going to do these but wanted to build up a portfolio before taking the big plunge!

    Thanks for the lovely comments!
Babyrut - i made the wrappers from doilies at the £1 shop, made 40 and still have doilies left from a pack of 30. Get 2/3 from each doily. You could re-use if doing for yourself, these went off to a customer i might not see again so re-using chances are ruined!!
