    Are you using the latest versions like Messenger 8 and ie7 as well as Media Player 11.?

    It was just a hunch because of what was said on the other board. Some people were downloading the genuine advantage update and thier copy was confirmed as legal but the apps mentioned above would start to encounter problems.
    Microsoft still havent fixed the Genuine Advantage Bug that keeps reporting windows is not genuine so this can effect any software downloaded using the genuine windows advantage program.

    did it have a baby rattle in?

    Sometimes gettings some facts is like pulling teeth..

    OP, have you tried changing the oil, that might fix it.

    More than likely they tried installing the wu software and got a bits error.

    have checked everything they suggest and all are ok

    does the same when i try to order something from a catalogue

    i dont know what sites it was for the activex but when i tried to install something it told me activex wasnt installed - i pressed install but it wouldnt let me,,,,,,,,,just went blank

    hotmail says they are unable to sign me in - there may be a problem with my internet connection

    when i try to get onto microsoft for updates it says these are for genuine users only
