I really love the idea of the ginderbread house ... may have a look into this as its something my DD would love to make. Going to look on price of delivery.
I've almost done our christmas shopping ... I now have 4 joint/family presents to buy but am totally stuck!
1 is for a 75 year old couple
1 is for a family, all in the same house (69,65,40 & 34)
1 is for a 78 year old couple
the other is for a 70 year old couple.
The majority cant have sweets/biscuits so and stuck ... if anyone has any ideas that'd be great - TIA x0 -

Its £3.95 delivery but if you use quidco and the 15% discount code its not too bad - well I couldnt find anywhere local that did cheap gingerbread houses and it'd cost me more than delivery price to drive to Ikea or matalan to get one. Blowed if I'm paying £15 for one from boots!0 -

have you looked in morrisons for your table things? they have some nice things and reasonably priced too. its myy first time at having a dinner table for the past 4 years as we got rid of our old one because it was glass and i was expecting ds. we was going to replace it with a wooden one but the space soon got filled with the kids toys and things.
but i decided earlier on this year i was sick of living in a 'playschool' and ship a lot of stuff into the bin/bedroom/charity shop. and finally have a lovely table which i fully plan on 'over-decorating' for xmas:D:D
Hadnt thought of Morrisons actually but will have a look, thanks
I've really excited about our table! I want red cloth and napkins, got silver runner, silver placemats and snowflake coasters, silver charger plates, red stem wine glasses, pots of silver and home made silver crackers
I was hoping to get my cloth and napkins from asda direct as they were cheap (£6 & £3) but I kept being put off by delivery charge and now they are OOSdarn!

that sounds really nice chasingsunshine. similar to how im planning mine, although im going for red and gold. the charger plates are only £1 each from morrisons so i didnt think that was too bad! think im going to have some sort of a candle disply in the middle of our table.
dh keeps asking why im bothering as its only us and our kids, but i am because i can!Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

been in town today to try and get our mums finished. got mila nice watch from pasttimes half price at £20 and bought the chocolates for her hamper which was about £12. so just waiting for her book to arrive, hoping it will come tomorrow and she's finished.
i got my mum some pjs from bhs for £14. and started looking for a nice necklace for her but didnt find any i liked. i have a £16 left for it but no luck. not sure whether to make her a pamper hamper instead, including the pjs, cant decide.
more importantly dh gave me my birthday and xmas money and my xmas money from in laws today :T i had £185 (spent £15 the other night on 2pairs of maternity jeans from mammas and pappas and they are now on 3 for £10 !!!!! was a bit  at first but then thought about it and i got a good deal anyhow as i saved £61:rotfl:!).
