  • I've knitted 2 scarves in fluffy wool for Christmas pressies, one was with wool I already had, the other was a "Knit a Scarf" pack I got in 99p shop, with 3 balls of wool and a pair of needles. I bought it Wednesday and finished it last night, so it's really easy to knit up.

2 more pressies ticked off the list, at a total cost of 99p!

Hello I am joining in hope you don't mind. I bought a lovely cot mobile for my dstep niece who is expecting in March it was reduced from £ 15 to 2.50 , in Matalan plays Brahhms lullaby. Hope she likes it am going to give it her with some Mothercare vouchers for her birthday in FEB. She asked for Mothercare vouchers I was going to give her money to spend on herself but was pleased when she wanted vouchers for Mothercare ,silly I know but makes me think she has entered the true stage of becoming a mum when you would rather spend the money on the lil uns instead of yourself. She is a lovely girl and we can't wait for her to have the baba! The mobile was in a grey shiny box they had loads in Cwmbran .

I've just found a Peppa Pig book (big one, annual style) in the cupboard in one of my 'safe' places that I forgot to give to DD2 for xmas...guess I've got my first xmas 2010 present , hope she's still into Peppa Pig next year!

ETA: maybe it'll be safer to give it to her for her birthday in June

Not managed to get out for ages due to the snow. Saturday was clear and my father was rushed into hospital so still couldnt go. Hopefully he will be on the mend soon and the weather will clear up and I can spend some money and grab some bargains. Hope to hit the Boots sale but not sure if it is Wednesday or Thursday. On the plus side it it amazing how much money I have saved in the last 2 weeks. I have managed to list some items on ebay to sell and all but one will sell which is really exciting as this is the first time Ive sold and I have also managed to pick up some bargains. Managed to get a No 17 make up box for 9 quid and Ive also won a Spa Factory Face massage and facial and also spa factory travel pack which wanted to buy for my niece for Christmas but they were a bit over price. Managed to get both for £8.70 including postage. I think the travel pack is currently reduced at Argos for £8.99 so I have a bargain.
