tara how do you do this multi quote thing? I can only respond one post at a time in separate posts IYSWIM

There's a tiny little button to the right of 'Quote', press it for each post you want to multi-quote (it won't take you straight to a reply box so you can read on in the thread). You can quote up to 3 posts at a time I think, HTH. :D

For anyone wanting to use up talc. its good to dust a bit in slightly smelly trainiers ( obv not yours ladies, but kids, Ohs ;)

I have to say Im v impressed with self.Went into 99p stores and came out without toiletries although they did have the toni & guy one again I do like that, will get it next time. Hopefully next time theywill have organic care this is 2.99 in sains ( more in waitrose) and is really very lovely. Oh needed sleeping tabs and a deoderant and true to the challenge he found the cheapest and used his boots points.

In saying that we did go to see what was left in the sale section and there was rather a lot and when 75% off comes round it will be worth having ( i thought there was only dross left) Funnily enough, our pizza stone ( from a boots kit) smashed in the oven last night- so we will need a new on. I think its fair to say I will definately be going to the boots sale, but will definately avoid the "predominantly moisturisers" sets !I might get myself a S&G set to see what all the fuss is about :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • I made baby steps last night and managed to use up a couple of sachets (Aussie 3 minute miracle and an Avon body scrub). I tried my Clinique Sparkle Skin scrub (that I have about half a tube of) this morning and forgot that I really don't like the smell that much, I have had it for ages (so probably past its best anyway), so I am going to chuck it out!

I really need to be strong to stay away from the Boots 75% off sale this week (although most of what i bought in the 50% off sale was to send to my mum in Oz), I also have 2 No7 £5 off vouchers and a 250 points voucher burning holes in my purse...
I'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!

Getting rid is tempting, but you could perhaps use it as a foot scrub instead if you wanted to find a use for it?

I would love to join this challenge, but can't, because I know I NEED to go to the Boots sale this week :rotfl:I couldn't stay away. But I am trying to cut back, and use up some of my product mountains. Well, I finished a nail varnish yesterday... :T:rotfl:
  • Hello ladies, nice to see you all doing so well, makes me feel inspired:T. Good idea about puting money in a jar for each product you finish, are you only putting in money for full size products or do minis and samples etc count too?

Will come back later, after ive finished cleaning the plastic mountain also known as the toy cupboard.

........or stick it in the cupboard under the kitchen sink and use it with a bit of washing up liquid when you need an abrasive cleaner in the kitchen or for heavy duty hand cleaning for men or mucky kids or little footballer's grimy knees or scrubbing kids trainers!

Talc apparently (according to the Reader's Digest anyway) can be sprinkled around in the summer as an organic ant deterrent, but my fave way of using it up quickly, if you like the scent is to sprinkle it on the carpet, leave it for a bit and hoover it up like shake and vac so mayb, once again, transfer it from the bathroom to the cleaning cupboard!

ETA My carpets are all fairly light in colour anyway, just getting a bit worried in case someone can't hoover it out of a dark carpet!! Please patch test yourself before trying and don't blame me!!

you can still go to boots on sale day. i probably will myself.
the good thing about this thread is that it's made me think about what i've already got and i don't think i've bought anything yet and i have been looking ;)
