I love this thread, it makes me feel normal!! :rotfl:After some thought, I have decided that the money off coupons (No 7 pinkies, £2 haircare etc) from Boots are largely to blame for my huge collection.

For some irrational reason, I feel that if I have a voucher I simply must use it otherwise it's such a waste. This is how I have ended up with a glut of Sanctuary wipes, handbag sized Frizz Ease, Olay face washes and No 7 nail polish.

I wonder if I could take any of the unopened items back?

Yes you can do as the op said but they dont take back cosmetics even if sealed.hth

Personally I would say that it depends on whether or not you have paid for it or not, and I would put a sum relative to the size of the item used: big, expensive bottle are worth more that cheap, small products, although sometimes the size is no indicator of how much it has cost!

I'll be putting in money for everything - for a full size product I'll either remember what it cost or look it up (or estimate), for a travel size product £1 and for a sample size maybe 20p.

Same here! I did buy those S&G handwashes at £2 each but one is for my bathroom, the other two are for gifts to go with other S&G bits and I paid with points!! :T So my actual toiletry spend since starting this challenge is £0!! I am sooo proud. I am also determined to resist the Boots 75% off sale as I got some FAB bargains in the 50% sale. The Frontcover Inky Eyes set is amazing for £6 and I got a couple of half price S&G sets (as well as 2 hatboxes given to me for Christmas). Ahem!!!!!!!!!!!
Ta, i think i will put the amount i paid in from today, also what are these s&g handwashes you talk of?:opls

Hmm...got a £5 No7/Ruby & Millie voucher while buying bits and pieces in Boots during the sale and I am going to need new face moisturiser in a short space of time so I'm just trying to figure out what to use. It's a dilemma as I got some N07 face cream a while back, but didn't find that it lasted all that long whereas if I buy a Clinique Dramatically Different, it may be more expensive but lasts for AGES. Hmm...am trying to find something that is a bit more heavy-duty than Clinique for the winter as I think my skin needs that bit extra, but I'm not sure whether N07 would do it. I have combination skin. Any recommendations anyone? It would be nice to use the voucher if possible, but if I can't then I can't. (I'm 29 so I don't (yet) need anything for mature skin. ;))

InaPickle i use the Nivea in a blue tub, it's only about £2.99 and lasts ages. It's quite thick which i find ideal for winter but it can be a bit heavy for summer.

I use that on my elbows/feet etc. but it doesn't absord very easily and I can't imagine it would be absorbed into my face very easily. It might be worth a go, though.

I think we should start a weekly "Paint Your Nails Monday" to use up our nail varnish, or actually use it for what it is supposed to be used for rather than collecting it.

I would hate to count how many nail polishes i have.. although i cleaned the bathroom last night, and was shocked that i didn't have as much shower gels i thought i had. Although 3 unopened tubes of liz earles moisturiser and i have 3 x 1 litre bottles of conditioner half used and thats just the start!....
