To be fair, when you can say 'I got through 5 moisturisers this week' instead of 'I've used a third of a tub', it does sound better! ;)

Right... Cleaning budget halved eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkk! I have been convinced!

    Thanks girlies

Sorry to everyone else for going completely OT!

Try yourself on a £15 budget for the next 3 months instead. That will give you an idea if it's do-able for you or not. If not, you can revise it for the next 3 months without feeling you've blown it for the year!

now look whaat you made me do......i just used the last of my banana bubble bath up and I can't buy it anywhere again EVER cause the independent shop that sold it has now turned into a teddy bear factory

    :(

just found some on ebay but at £3.00 + £3.99 P&P I don't think I'll be tempted to replace it thats rather a lot for a bubble bath!!!

Smell of bananas? Chickywiggle, I thin k you should be glad it turned into a teddy bear shop!! :rotfl:

I work in the evenings and am always amazed how many pages I have to catch up on. If I post a few times in a row, it's cos I've read something a few pages back and if I don't answer there and then I forget what I wanted to say!!

Great thread, keep up the good work everyone!

What i started doing last year was when a Liz Earle TSV came up i looked at what was being offered (the full sizes especially), and if i had run out of these I would buy them. Then the other bits that came with it got given as gifts or sold on ebay. This way i only ended up buying 2 of her 4 TSVs and do not have such a huge stash.

See, that is what we should all be doing. The fact that we don't is why we need this challenge!!! LOL

I actually never watch QVC, lucky enough as my stash would be a lot worse if I did!!
I was just wondering when other people on here first started accumulating all their stash. I am sure that I started mine when I turned 30. I think I discovered Space nk at around about the same time. I think it started with me looking for the elixir of youth. I couldn't find it with their expensive products. I think then I got seduced by Boots and Superdrugs marketing ploys and the hope of finding what I was looking for with cheaper products. So here I am 15 years later none the wiser and can't move for products. Now my downfall is all the cheap internet sites. (obviously up until I joined this challenge)

I started after graduation probably (9-10 years ago eek) - and some of my makeup dates back to my student days!!! It started off cheap, then got quite expensive when I started working, very expensive when I got my first *well paid* job, and then reverted back to super cheap when I discovered MSE! :rotfl: Now I hardly pay for anything thanks to glitches, vouchers, Bootsing etc, but it all adds up!

My mum helpfully  gave me some talculm powder and i have no use for it. Is there anything i can use it for otherwise im going to give it to the charity shop as it is taking up space in the bathroom cabinet.

If you have blonde hair, it's good as an emergency dry shampoo - only for a few hours though, it seems to make my hair go really thick and then lank within about 4 hours but good if you have no other option! HTH.

But it is so important to have air freshner in the bathroom for those not so nice smells.

I buy the avon ones as they are really cheap and last for ages. I've got one on the go in the bathroom and have two molton brown ones in the hall which i'm finishing up and its nice to give the downstairs a little squirt if someone is coming around.

I'd rather not pollute the air with that nasty stuff _pale_

I am so with you on that!!!

    Same here LOL

I have been so good (on the whole, ahem) since this challenge started, and I am going to copy some of you and start putting money in a jar for each product I finish. It will be interesting to see how much is in it by the end of 2010!!! :j:j
