Went into Boots today and was tempted by mini bourgois eyeliners but stayed away. I heard a woman saying to her friend 'i've made a saving of £35 today' while looking at her receipt. Left me thinking 'How much did she spend?' - maybe she should join this thread

Put the extra money towards your Christmas presents for this year. You'll be SO happy with yourself in December!

I told my OH his face was dry and needed a moisturiser :D Used a little bit up!

Anyone else noticing a difference with using products regularly? My skin is glowing after using face scrub all the time and my feet feel all soft :D

Yes, my skin is defo looking better!

mandymoomoo, I am staying well away from the Boots sale! It's the only way. This challenge is making me look at my spending in a whole new light and I am liberated by saying no to myself.

I guess if you have birthday money to spend you could treat yourself... to some new clothes. :D

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone.. 30 today....

Tried to make myself look and smell lovely today, but still not getting thru stuff... and end up getting more for my birthday anyway...Oh well, never mind.

Just debating whether or not to stay away from Boots 75% sale on wed... Anyone else going? :A

I think i will go and take a look. Ill be honest though I dont think there is anything I particularly want, there isnt much left is there?

Hair stuff (eg shampoos & conds) fine, we use them, bath foam, shower gel and to an degree scrubs are fine too , but I cant take any more lotion/body butter. I use it but not as much as I seem to get in through the front door!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I should use up another shampoo tomorrow, it's nearly done.

I replaced my "daily" shower gels and facewashes with S&G as it's the weekend, so I have used my iFoam, facial scrub and body butter today and smell YUMMY!! It's like a reward for trying to use up things that don't smell as nice :rotfl:

I think I have "only" 5 body lotions left now. A Body Vit e, Body Shop cocoa butter, Crabtree & Evelyn Goatmilk, Nivea "Happy" and a gorgeous Champneys miracle body butter (the last one is divine!!). Now that's not bad for me! I will have a route around today as I fear there must be more. My arms are looking fab with using all this body lotion. so this is a great thread. So whilst using all these I will decide which is my favourite (or which two) so going forward I'll buy just these.

i've never counted my stuff cos it would take too long :o i thought i'd be moving some some on this weekend but the weather has put paid to that. there's a load of stuff ready and waiting to be re-homed on my spare bed. i'm itching to jam it back in the wardrobe because it looks so untidy. but if i do that i know it will never see the light of day again. :o

Right- I've decided that I have got myself in the mindset that if I try and use all my stuff up as quickly and ridiculously as possible I can buy more... which isn't really very MSE of me at all. So I after looking at the horrendous list of my stash I posted the other day I have decided to set myself a 'product budget'............Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkk

I am setting myself £120 for the year including DD's bath and body stuff which is obviously £10 a month so more than enough for essentials if I shop carefully. I can't actually believe I've said this especially in my wedding year but I have so many goodies I really shouldn't need much other than my everyday stuff... am I mad??? Probably but I probably spend £40 a month only spending £10 on toiletries would save me £360 this year.

    Anyone fancy joining me?

    Off to update my sig
