Popped into Boots today as I had to pick up a prescription and totally managed to resist buying anything else. I was slightly tempted to buy the S&G Clean Mary, after reading about it on here. If there'd been a travel sized on I might have succumbed.
Anyway, I've got plenty of cleansers to be going on with - I'm really liking the Avene gentle cleanser and I'll definitely be buying it when I've finished off every other cleanser I've got. I've also been using the toner I got with it and the moisturiser and my skin feels much better.
Going to have another pamper session tonight and use up some more of my massive Lush stash up.
Oh, nearly forgot, used up a small vial of the new Serge Lutens perfume L'Eau Serge Lutens. WIBA? No, smells nice to start with, very clean and fresh, but not very long lasting unlike the other Lutens fragrances I've tried.0 -

Sorry to ask a daft question but how much would I need to spray? At the moment I obviously just shake a bit onto a cotton pad making sure I don't make it too wet (which is more luck than judgement sometimes :rotfl:).Did owe £9,951.96

What is toner good for? I've used it many a time but not quite sure what it's doing for me, and the bottle is happy to be vague.
According to the Elemis girl on QVC, toner is used to righten the PH balance to your skin after using water on it. I had always thought it was to remove the last traces of cleanser until I found in my stash 2 in 1 cleanser and toner, so what she says does kind of make sense.Did owe £9,951.96

Do you really find that you are more thrifty since you moved to England? I find Irish people are real big spenders and don't know the value of money, maybe it's the Celtic Tiger (which started when I was about 13), I don't know - but I find British people far more thrifty than the Irish and I am happy to say that I am unusual in my moneysaving ways!!!
My Irish Grandfather used to say "a penny saved is a penny wasted".
It's no wonder I've always been useless with money. I'm working to change that though.:D0 -

Was in boots and got some toothpaste, 59p and 3 x wrinkle reducing night serum (rrp £6 each). The serums were reduced to £1.50 each and I used my skinnie and a 50 points when you buy any 'smile' product. So the serums were free and the toothpaste 9p.
I still didn't buy a magazine though ;):D
I have got to learn to shop like you, Tara, and Bronnie. I never heard of glitches, grabbits and bootsing until I came on this thread.0 -
OK I have bought something this week and am about to order something else but hear me out. Firstly I bought a tube of L'occitane Lavender hand cream. I've had to cos my hands are so dry and sore and this is the only product I've tried that cures them. Bought it on Tuesday and my hands are already much better. I think this justifies the cost. Once my hands are ok I will go back and use up the other hand creams/lotions I have.
Hemp hand cream from the body shop is the most amazing hand cream I've ever come across. I was working as a cleaner a few years back to support myself through a college course and my hands were trashed, this saved them.OK, not that I want to drag our attention back to S&G, but Clean Mary actually has exfoliators in it so should not be used every day.
I thought it was but thought I'd mixed up the two that came in the hatbox*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -

[well done for ONLY spending 9p and getting all that stuff!]
I avoided the huuuuuge Boots at the retail park today. Just walked straiiight past it and bought the essentials I needed from HB (probably for half the price they are in Boots!)0 -
