No, no to M&S Royal Jelly Protective facial moisturiser and Formula calming day cream-don't find it either of them moisturising enough (added some oil and turned both into body/foot creams:j:j)
Def not to Lush Flying Saucers bath/shower gel.Nice smell but left my skin dry.
(Lush have a new £25:eek::eek: body cream called Creme Anglaise:eek::eek:)
Won't have so many shower gels and might go back to using soap.
Most of the body butters and shower gels I've really liked. My problem is going to be do I dump all body buters/creams and make my own oils/body butters or should I just have two body butters I really like plus stuff I make? Won't have to decide for at least another year or two.:rotfl::rotfl::eek::eek:
Green People Aloe shower gel still lovely and Royal Jelly body butter smells gorgeous.:j:jI went away and now I'm back.:j:j0 -
I failed yesterday! I was in costco and they had a gift pack of Aussie mega shampoo, conditioner and 3 minute miracle AND a a really pretty pink scarf for £6! was a bargain i couldn't refuse!
That is too good to refuse! xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

As for serums, I'm now using up an old Olay one and love it. I'm not sure what I'll do when it runs out. Can anyone recommend one? Is the hype true about Boots P&P?
I started a thread on P&P serum a few months ago, but I can't find it:mad:. There are quite a lot of user opinions on it.
Is it just me who can never find anything when I search on MSE??:o Can anyone find it please?
ETA Here it is

Morning ladies!!!!!!!!!!!rosemary54 wrote: »if you buy it at the end of the summer it is about half price in Tesco, put it away for the following year(or winter holiday if you are really lucky!)
Yup, this is what I do! :T:T Got a few for 75p each in October which will do me a few trips this year!rosemary54 wrote: »NO Tara don't do it,cheap smells is an evil place that destroys our resolve with too good to miss offers(this is why I have a stash of enough french perfume to bath in)
Thanks for the moral support rosemary54. I didn't do it in the end (phew!!!!!!).Was it the shimmer coconut body butter that was free with a spend of £15 at Christmas?
I absolutely love that stuff! It is so so nice. I ended up with 4 at Christmas through the BS glitch and gave of them away as gifts, wish I'd held on to them now as I don't really like the apricot one I kept for myself. I can't get enough of the coconut one and mine's nearly done!
In other news, I am currently sitting with a home hair dye on which will hopefully (if it works!) save me in the region of £65 this month! I haven't used a home hair kit for about 8 years and I'd forgotten how much hassle it is (I have quite long hair)! Will be worth it though if it looks ok.
Will use up a sachet (OR 3!) of 'Aussie 3 minute miracle' (of which I have 7!) when it's done in the hope it won't look frazzled!
Wish me luck!
How did it turn out???
I have 4 of those cononut butters too, they are all in the gift stash and will only be used by me if I use up all my body butters before Christmas 2010! So no chance then! LOLGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I love P&P! I use it everyday and am always told I don't look my age. I'm nearly out though and just finishing a sample tube now
, so may well buy more of this.

I oil cleanse now, so will never buy cleanser again! This is by far the best method and my skin is looking better than ever :T:T.
I'm going to stop buying hair products for curly hair. Mine has a wave and I always straighten it, it just looks a mess if I try to make it more curly.
Eyeshadows!! I'm always tempted by the pretty colours and then just wear brown, grey or greeny colours.0 -

Anyone noticed that some things, generally the ones you don't particularly like, last for ages when you're making a real effort to use them up?! I don't really like Eight Hour Cream (meant to be the saviour of all womankind) but it's lasting forever! I'm making an effort to use up products so I'm hoping that I'll be much improved soon.

I don't like this either, I find the scent really off-putting. i can't understand why anyone would want to put this on their cheeks to make them' gleam'. I am glad I am not the only one. How does it always get included in the all time beauty lists that you see in magazines?0 -
Was just thinking this last night!
Body creams/butters over body lotions was mentioned recently, I'd certainly go with that in future.
I'm definitely NEVER buying those random own-brand gift sets that M&S/Boots do any more ever. I kinda used to think they were a nice little token gift or stocking filler , it's eventually dawned on me that in our consumer society with our embarrassment of goodies:o:o, nobody (self included) really wants them. Although feel slightly uncomfortable saying this when you think of how few luxuries many women in this world actually have.
With oil cleansing, no spending needed now on cleansers, wipes and toners which is a massive saving.
With family, I'm going to try, in the nicest possible way, to have my present wish list, rather than getting random stuff.
I've been mindful of this because, I'm actually coming to the end of my stash of a lot of stuff. What I'm looking forward to is replacing items with the best, most effective product I can find in each category. I've minimised a lot of my life over the last few years and would really like a pared down kit of stuff that REALLY works.
See what I mean? Bronnie you are the voice of reason, perimenopausal or not:D0
