Just had a thought when trying to think of ways of making body lotion and using up stuff I have. I have a large tub of coconut oil, which is nice but very - well - oily so I'd like to use as a base for a lotion. I was trying to think of stuff to mix it with when I remembered I have some old (ie about 3+ years) sun tan lotion in the loft, which has probably lost its potency as a sun filter. I wonder if it would make a nice body lotion.
I think I might whizz some together in my food processor and see what happens.
I'll report back when I've tried it.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -
I have a confession(s) to make.I nipped into boots just to have a look at baby clothing and have managed to return with 4 boxes of moxie pads and 2 packs of moxie panty liners reduced to 45p each-I really don't need them as I'm pregnant but the box was nice and I never bought them when they were full price.....I will have to give them to sis instead.I think they are going to be repackaged.Love can tame the wildest0

4 boxes? when you don't know you or sis will like them?
I think we should make it a rule that we have to try a new product before bulk buying/bogofs etc!
Still, I'm sure your sister will be pleased you bought them for her, and you won't be pregnant for ever, so why not give half/keep half?0 -
Joesaunt, I have used the grapefruit and lemongrass one before and that is really nice. I have also bought the water lily and freshmint one to try. Wouldn't mind trying the cucumber and green tea one too
Im using this at the moment. Its really not very exciting and VERY hsrd to get out of the bottle- its a 2 hand task to get it onto the scrunchie
Tara- all that money! Youll be at your 40K target before you know it. What % is that so far  :T :T :T well done you! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I went into town today and bought some soap and a Celestial moisturiser from Lush.
I had been using a sample sized Burts Bees soap but it has cracked and split in two in just over a week. I will persevere with it but am not sure how long it will last. My current moisturiser is almost finished.
Has anyone used hand lotion as body lotion. I got some for Christmas in a pump dispenser but it says hand lotion not to be used as facial lotion. I'll give it a go but stop if I get any reaction to it.0 -
Finished up a virgin vie 'pretty calm' body lotion.
It's quite thin but took a little while to soak in (possibly because I've never been so moisturised before in my life :rotfl:). Undecided on the smell, tbh. It's quite sweet, but I can't decide if I like it or not.. On the upside (if you like it, lol!), the smell does last for quite a while and my sister said it was lovely.
WIBA? Probably not. It's £10 for 250mls and I don't know if I like the smell.
Total ££s of products used so far.. £119.31 _pale_Has anyone used hand lotion as body lotion. I got some for Christmas in a pump dispenser but it says hand lotion not to be used as facial lotion. I'll give it a go but stop if I get any reaction to it.
You'll be able to use the hand cream on your body, but don't use it on your face - it'll be far too heavy0 -
