Brilliant! I have just had massively arguement with Molton Brown customer services over shoddily packaged things (40th birthday present for a friend) so I have decided never to buy anything Molton Brown again!

I complained last time my stuff turned up leaking, and they replaced it and sent a courier to take back the rejected original delivery.

I managed to buy some always when it was on offer in Makros. I think I managed to get something like 10 packs for £5.00 or something rediculous like that and then shortly afterwards I was told by my consultant to continuously take the pill  I am now allowed 2 periods a year so it will take me forever to use them up :(

I am in the same boat; think of the money saved on these things though, rather than 12 lots a year, we only need 2!!:j

    Hi Nab

I bought my mum some of the Santuary stuff when it was on 3 for 2 and before I gave it to her I smelt them all and there was one there was exceptionally nice above all the others but for the life of me cannot remember which one it was. I might have to try and find out when I next visit her :)

There's a raspberry one, I thought there was just the 3.

Just realised you're talking about body butters, I was talking about deodorant :rotfl:

A bit off topic, I am also taking this using up lark into other areas, I am using up all the half open jars of honey, jam, marmalade, chocolate spread, mustard etc I have in the kitchen, as well as all the partially open bottles of spray kitchen & bathroom cleaners, before I buy any more!:j

Me too, its amazing how small items getting finished up is increasing the storage space all over the house! I'm a herbal tea hoarder, and I've already finished four boxes, its blissful to see small spaces appear in no-go area cupboards :rotfl::rotfl:

Just finished off a trial size pot of Queen organic moisturiser. It's quite nice, fairly rich and thick, and you don't need much. A nice winter moisturiser.

I'm also using a pot of Everything Balm that I bought for £1 in Boots last year, which I've had in a drawer by my bed but never really used much. Didn't realise this was originally so expensive (around £20) for a 95ml pot. It is lovely though, and I think I might buy this again in the future, once the stash is down. You don't need much and it's multifunctional. I've been using it on my face overnight and my skin feels so soft.

Finished off a Philip Kingsley mini shampoo and MOP mini conditioner this morning. So satisfying throwing out those empty bottles!

okay - here's the toiletries I have found so far. As you can see a lot of it is gifts from the last couple of years birthdays/ christmasses.

    2 body scrub (1 gift)
    15 body wash/ showergel (11 gifts/ free)
    1 stretch mark cream (free)
    6 bath pearls (gift)
    1 bath salts (gift)
    1 bodybutter (gift)
    2 bubblebath (gift)
    2 soap (gift/ free)
    4 body lotion (gifts)
    4 mens body sprays (gifts)
    2 leave in conditioners free
    2 handwash gifts
    3 antibacterial hand gel
    2 bubblebath/shower gel
    1 exfoliator
    1 footscrub
    1 hairgel
    1 intensive hand crème
    1 rough skin remover
    2 shampoos/ conditioners/ 2in1 2 shaving foam
    1pk wet wipes

    sachets:
    cuticle soak
    hair shot
    2 x shampoo and conditioner
    smoothing hair crème
    nutrilift
    shampoo
    foot scrub
    foot lotion
    2 x bubble bath

and this is DS's stash. I think the only stuff I have actually bought are the mini's which i took in my labour bag and never used, and the emery boards.

    3 baby emery boards
    1 baby lotion
    2 baby shampoo
    1 baby top-to-toe wash
    4 bubblebath
    1 liquid talc
    1 powder

and this is what we have open.............

    1 artificial nail remover
    2 baby bubble bath
    1 baby lotion
    1 body butter
    1 body wash
    1 bodyscrub (nearly gone)
    1 bubblebath
    2 bubblebath/ shower gel + 1 nearly finished
    1 exfoliator (half left)
    1 nail dry spray
    1 nail polish remover
    1 post shave balm
1 sensitive hair remover (nearly gone)
    1 baby shampoo
2 shampoo and conditioner (nearly gone)
    1 mens shave foam
1 ladies shaving gel (nearly gone)
    1 shower gel (nearly gone)

I have moved all unopened large items into a drawer and put all my mini's, sachets and freebies into the bathroom box so they get used up 1st.

Thanks to whoever suggested using toiletries to clean the bathroom - just used half a bottle of hotel freebie shampoo to clean my bath and it is sparkling and smells lush. Cleaned it with a sponge that needed binning so I could use one of my 7 new sponges. :j

now.......... how to use up 15 handbag packs of tissues.....................

when i get another free hour or 2 i will list make up and my deodrants/ clensers etc.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    Hi all!

Have also been reducing my collection a bit further this week.....

    All finished;
Clinique eye cream freebie, used on hands
    Dove conditioner
2 freebie No 7 body polish used on hands
Marie Claire freebie frankincense handcream (chucked, smelt horrid)
M&S lipgloss WIBA? No, only £2.50, so I bought a handful in different shades. It disappears from your lips in no time!!

My hands are hugely improved for all the exfoliating and pampering this month :D

    Will be gone over the weekend;
Boots body butter (on feet.....really don't like the smell, but nearly gone)
Toothpaste...................metal tube is rolled down neatly
Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Therapy (freebie with mag I think) WIBA? No The Body Shop Hemp stuff is w-a-y more effective
    Dove shampoo
    Freebie sample P&P Intense serum
    Sample size neutrogena conditioner
    A Ralph Lauren perfume

Decanted a Palmolive shower gel into a handwash bottle so that's saved buying new handwash. DD must have bought it on 3 for 2 as there's still 2 more 'boring' ones to use up. She's working her way through her Xmas S&G and I'm using up a bar of soap, so I can see them being there for a while yet!!

The soap I'm using in the shower on weekdays is lasting for ever. Used with the puff it quickly makes lots of soapy sudsy foam as shower gels etc. I know this thread is light-hearted and noone wants to lose the pampering element, but if anyone is in dire need of reducing spends, going back to buying soap instead of shower gels etc for a family used with a puff or sponge would be very economical, even allowing for using a quality soap or baby soap and not a dead cheap one.

Been to H&B for 1st purchases of the year as I've none left in stock
L'Oreal Colour Protect shampoo and conditioner 400ml bottles . 2 for £3. They were £3.36 EACH in Wilkos, so quite happy
    Whitening toothpaste 99p.

So £3.99 essential spend. Lazy mare that I am , I still haven't got round to putting a few toiletries on ebay, so still hoping to offset that spend and stay money neutral for as long as poss!!

PS Went in Boots with DD to update her points; there was just 1 customer in there!! Managed to get straight in and out even with DD in tow, despite her starting to mumble about 'needing' a new bronzer.

Keep up the good work girls!
