  • I'd like to join please...I promised myelf I'd start after the boots 75% off sale, and I got a weeks grace as it was postponed. But I have more than enough stuff to keep me going. I've sorted the bathroom out and put everyhing in a big cardboard box in the cellar - even half opened stuff, I think I'm going to seperate it into two boxs, things that have been opened and things that haven't and use up the opened stuff first.

I've got enough body butters to cream the whole of a football team for a season!! I do use it eery day though, sometimes twice a day but still the amount I've got is excessive.

I've got a huge box of make up despite having regular clear outs.

The only thing I will need to buy in the near future is nail varnish remover because there is only a tiny dreg left in the bottom and oddly I haven't had a compulsion to bulk buy that

I've got another hatbox to collect (which was a gift from OH) and a sancturary gift set to collect which is a pressie for mum next xmas.

I need to stay OUT of boots, which I'll find very hard if they have a voucher for S&G or any super points gliches. But I also need to stay out of wilkos, superdrug, asda, tesco, £1/99p shop, body shop anywhere that sells toiletries!

I'm going to set myself a 90/3 month challange to start with, only buying things that I have run out of and therefore need rather than things I want or are on offer. I'll review where I am at in 3 months time.

Gonna be tough but I've got to do it and if you ladies can, I can too :)

The more, the merrier! Oh, and make it a rugby team, and I'm there! :D

  • I'm inclined to agree with this SA - being brutally honest, you know yourself that you cannot afford to visit somewhere like this at the moment. If you are going to go, could I suggest taking just the amount of cash - yes, real money - that you can actually afford to part with and leaving your cards at home? It realy might be better that way, both for you, and for Lynz, who is going to feel awful now if you go and spend a fortune! (Yes, it's moral blackmail - will I use it again? Hell, yes!)

Oh thankyou, I won't let you or myself down. See what I was posting at the same time as you?

thanks hun thats just what I wanted to say.

salesaddict Ive read your other thread and you know we are all worried about you and how youll cope.

Please dont go there. Maybe put it off, for a date in the future- as far away as you can stand. I drive past there fairly reguarly- now Im avoiding it. Ill go when we are on the last shampoo. This isnt so far away for me.

I will take real cash and a list. Eg I need handwash. I wont buy handwash in there if I know it is cheaper elsewhere. Its not all its cracked up to be. and things can look like a bargain when its not eg imp leather handwash is 1.25 in there, I paid 69p in home bargains for the same thing and its often at morrisons for the same price.

Like all shopping, its something that should be done with the head not the heart;)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I know you are probably miles away from needing any more shower gel/cream but if you are a cinamon fan ( ok broken record time) you have got to go for waitrose cinamon cakes shower cream- only 99p- LUSH!

I need to try and forget that...this is going to be sooo hard

Yes, I know what you are both saying and thanks again. I won't go there at all. I'll save my ten pounds to pay off against one of my cards. This way I will be debt free by 3011(no typo):o

Can you take top off and stand it upside down on something suitable to catch the dregs in. Leave it overnight or somthing. This is one of the reasons I prefer tubs/jars to tubes.

Thanks, I'll try that. It does seem very thick but I will get it all out if it kills me!! :rotfl:

Am going to forget that I saw the £3 body butters.:eek:

At least you were honest.:naughty::naughty::naughty:. You got a lot for £20.70 (may be I shouldn't have written that.)

Even better!! Quidco tracked at £3.10 so it only cost £17.60! All but one (amber body butter) were full sized products too, so it is the most amazing Grabbit. I do feel very guilty :o but can't wait to get my goodies!!! And I am never going near the Grabbit board again. :o

157lugy.gif Consider yourself well and truly chastised!!!! (I don't suppose the wild cherry lip butter was reduced was it? 8g7ratl.gif)

    No, sorry!! :D

    p.s. love your smilies!

I am sooooooooo glad I don't live near that Boots clearance store (dribbles) but would love to hear all about it! DON'T tell salesaddict where it is, for goodness' sake!!!! (ETA: just read all the posts you wrote while I was writing this - good on you salesaddict and good luck, come and report back if you go)

LIR, I like smelling of some things (e.g. brazil nut, cocoa butter, honey, shea butter, vanilla) but not others (e.g. anything too sweet, or fruit! Yuk to all strawberry/orange/peach/blueberry products).

I have had another pampering session tonight (best thing about this challenge!), and used up a Lush bubble bar (Frothy the Snowman) and finished a small Boots Mediterranean shower gel. Yahoo!!!!! That's £3 in the online savings 'tin' for the Lush bubble bar and £1 for the shower gel. I am also one day away from finishing a mini Body Shop Aloe Vera night cream so will put in £1 now in case i forget (going out tomorrow night so I will be putting it on before bed while drunk). Should I also put in £1 for the Q10 supplements I finished yesterday? I got them for about £1 in Tesco.

It is so satisfying to toss those containers into the recycling bin.. but then I find myself thinking 'I could decant stuff into that for travelling'!!! Then I slap myself. :rotfl:

I wonder if Boots sales are suffering due to this thread :D

I received another mailing from them today, thats 2 since joining this thread, 2 mocs for 300 points each when buying P&P products. Just looked at the prices on .com out of interest  No way will I be buying them. Not been tempted by Mr B yet!
