Morning all, I haven't posted on here for a few days but I've been enjoying reading your posts. I took part in PYNM too, with an OPI nail varnish I got from the Freebie Board just before Xmas. Its mysterious name is 'Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees':

I bought 2 deodrants for the OH (that are basically a copy of lynx) for a £1 yesterday but then saw in tesco then had lynx at 3 for £5. The OH did not actually mind the smell of the new stuff and as the offer for lynx runs out today he is going to have to use it all up before he gets anything else. If im going to do this challenge, he will do it too. Its his fault i have so many body lotions open at the moment. At least they were from the £ shop but they don't all smell and moisturize enough. He's back to using vaseline which is fine with me.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0

I agree with the first sentence but have to ask: why is your OH to blame for your body lotions being open? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I've been tending to paint my nails on a Sunday night and currently have Lookey Likey by Leighton Denny on which is a pinky colour.
I failed at Tesco's last night as i bought a bottle of shower gel which was a pound. I also got my leave in conditioner which will run out within a week. However my OH paid for them and i'm more trying to cut down on me spending money on toiletries! Excuses i know!!
I have definitely been using more hand lotion at work.0 -
Green People Aloe shower gel is still going strong. Can't complain as it's lovely.:j
Went to Asda last night, luckily no nspa indulgent hot butter fudge stuff.:rotfl:
Must investigate the S&G hatbox that keeps getting mentioned.:D:DI went away and now I'm back.:j:j0 -

Soz wrong support groupbut I have failed
I popped into boots to get nappies (they don't count as toiletries) and they had botanics hair conditioner only 50p and there was only 1 so ummmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm sorry but honestly it jumped into my basket then wrestled my purse off my it then opened said purse and paid for itself!!!!! Honest I had nothing to do with it
I will try harder I promise
I shall have to be careful in future, due to these products having a life of their own!:rotfl:salesaddict, I'd like to second and third all previous comments. We will all try to support you with cutting down on the spending and please do chop up the cards!
Maybe you could start looking at cheap/ free things to do with your daughter. Do you live near some woods or anywhere that you can go out for nice long walks? That can while away a few hours and costs nothing. Then you can go home and use up some of your stash getting warm and gorgeous again!
Everyone who's selling parts of their stash - it must feel so good to do this. More money and you don't have as much stuff to feel pressured into using. :T
My updates/thoughts:
Someone gave me a small Lush giftbox years ago and even though it smells nice and was wrapped beautifully, I've never even thought about using it. I don't know why Lush is so lusted after.
I think we should all try to get a job in Boots so we can look at products all day and not have to spend money to see them. That or we use our wages from there to buy their products - it'd be like saying I'll serve these customers and stack some shelves in exchange for giving me that S&G set. :rotfl:
I was actually good when I got a giftset (from myself) at Christmas 08 - it came with a bath creme and because I don't have a bath here, I used the whole bottle in 2 baths while on holiday, because I knew if I took it home with me it'd just sit there until the next holiday.
I noticed as well as hoarding toiletries, I also do it with cereal bars; whenever I see boxes of them for £1 I have to get them - even though given the choice I'd reach for chocolate before them anyway. And also I'm a magazine hoarder. Had a huge pile of them by my bed on the floor for so long, I've been reading them at night to get through the pile. I even found a Boots mag from last Jan. Successfully halved the pile by 3am one day last week though.
I bought myself loads of giftsets of mini products at Christmas and to make myself use them I took a bag to use at my OH's and I've started, so I'll finish.
I didn't buy any of the Gok things because I think the packaging looks really cheap and tacky, probably nice product inside though.
I usually use St Ives face scrubs, but those can take all your skin off so I have to do it lightly. I read that grains make tiny tears in your skin though, and that exfoliating beads are better.
My Primark body scrub is rubbish because there's not enough 'scrub' to it. But my BodyShop strawberry body polish is good - smells nice and does the job.
By the way, what are hot cleansing cloths and muslin cloths? I've been hearing people mentioning them but don't know what they are.
I did go into Boots yesterday after work and got 2 Garnier products - night cream and eye roll on because my other store didn't have them on 2 for £10 like the website did, so I got those and some vitamins with the 200 extra point voucher from the machine. (99p vitamins, so £1.01 free points) :j
Long post, sorry.0 -
Can I join you please?!
My stash isn't too bad at the moment, mainly because I've been doing this for a while now. It has increased after Christmas though!!
My weakness is body lotion/creams/butters - I just can't resist, and because I'm paranoid about my age and looking old (hit the big 4 0 this year!) I'm using them like they're going out of fashion.......which is a good thing as I had loads of opened ones! I now have one open and a body butter to use up.
I have tonnes of samples which I need to sort through and use up. My mum is always giving me things as she is so very not MSE and buys things and then doesn't like them so gives them away, lucky to me :rotfl:. She also does me a goodie bag at Christmas so I have lots of bits that she's bought, and the most fab shampoo!
Faelia - I'm also a magazine hoarder, I just feel bad chucking them out! I try to remember to give them away.0
