I'd love to use my nailvarnish collection but I work with food 3-4 days a week, so I'd spend more time taking it off than actually wearing it. :rotfl: I've never felt the product-buying rush when purchasing nailvarnish remover though, it's just one of those things I have to have, don't really want it though.

I've been using up a big can of Sure deoderant I've had at least 4 years. It reminds me of a holiday I took it on, that long ago. :rotfl:Got the blue and pink ones, no idea why it's lasted that long. I usually buy a new deoderant as a 'spare' and then use it straight away, so have so many half used ones.

I'm not sure I'll be saving loads of money with this challenge as I usually buy cheaper products, but more of them. I'm especially a sucker for £1 products in Wilko's and Superdrug, and the "get this free gift when you spend xx" in Boots. Really wanted the Nivea Cashmere shower cream for £1 from Wilko's too but I've already got 20 of various types to use.

I missed out on chances to use my own toiletries though - been using OH's moisturiser, and BIL's shampoo because I didn't bring my own. Naughty. :(

Ok just decided to check my make up cupboard out and I am VERY ashamed to report that I have counted 25 Juicy Tubes  Plus all my other lipglosses/ lipsticks.... I am actually shocked at his and dread to do the maths!

    I stopped counting when I got to a hundred:o

 wow that's one heck of a collection.

I think part of the reason I've amassed so much makeup is because I'm not one of those people who's constantly rushing off to the toilets to retouch their makeup - I apply it once in the morning and pray that it lasts all day. Even lip products... if they wear off when I'm out, most of the time I don't bother reapplying them. Maybe I should though :o

    QUOTE]

I find decent products are quite long-lasting though and I don't really need to retouch. depends on your skin though possibly!

Always retouch lip gloss, no need for a mirror, anytime anywhere.......except for the time I tried to do it when driving, :naughty:, blindly unscrewed the lid and it was only as I smeared the wand across my lips, did I realise it was my mascara, not my lipgloss:eek:
  • Ooo, I might be able to help you. I've dug out something I bought a few years ago which looks suspiciously similar - it's a tub of Boots No. 7 High Lights Illuminating Powder. When I've studied it, I've discovered that the shade of the powder is 'Dandy Pink' (spotting any parallels yet? ;) ) and the blurb on the back is almost identical to the blurb for Dandelion. Dandelion: 'This classic ballerina pink finishing powder takes your complexion from dull to radiant in an instant...a celeb fave!' Boots version: 'Dust lightly over your skin to take your complexion from dull to radiant in an instant.' I haven't used mine for years but I like it better now that I suspect it's a Benefit rip-off. :D

The only problem (just as I've built your hopes up) is I can't find it on the Boots website so I don't know if it's still available - it might be worth going and asking in-store. The other possibility is they've kept the product but rebranded it. This product (in pink) looks pretty much like it:

It says it's a blusher but the colour and the reference to its shimmer, glow, translucence etc. makes me think it could be the same thing. Otherwise, is this No.17 product any good to you?

I'm about 10 pages back and don't know if this has been said yet, but one of the no7 xmas gifts contained "dandy pink" illuminating powder. Sadly it's not in stock and can't see it on the site, I've got it in my old orders, it was a £16 compact.

I too, barely paid it any attention, just assumed it was another blusher, and wasn't too impressed with the "island glow" illuminating powder either. But, hey, if it turns out they're benifit rip-offs, I may have to give them another look at:D I've still not been able to afford my first benifit item yet. am also a touch drunk on a £2.50 ale, cheese and parkin basket from asda:T

Bit lazy today. Made myself a Lavender, shea butter and sunflower oil body butter. Very moisturising.
    I went away and now I'm back.:j:j

Thanks for that. Good to see I'm not the only one influenced by the thought of it being a premium brand copy. ;) Lol @ being drunk on your bargain Asda hamper - sounds fun! :D

It's not lazy - making your own body butter sounds pretty impressive to me. :)

    I have a confession.
I don't like the soap and glory scrub in the pink pot. I'm so glad it is a small pot of it! I don't like the residue it leaves on my skin, may have to be relegated to the foot scrub pile!!!!!!!

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
