I’d love to say I would join you but after trying this challenge for about the past 5 years I have realised there is no hope for me – I am complete toiletries !!!!!! I even sold a load of stuff on Ebay as I had so much but I’m still working my way through it all!

    Good luck to you all!

I'm currently sitting with a Dove spa face mask on. I think there's probably one more application left in the tube. I've got a few sachets (about 10 I think) of Montagne Jeunesse maks left, which I won last year, but I can use those up fairly quickly and hubby likes to pinch one now and again when he's in the bath, especially the self-heating ones. Bless him!:rotfl:

Current shower gel is rapidly going down, as hubby and son have been using it. Calls of "That's nice, can you get some more of that" have not gone down well! Not until the shower gel mountain has disappeared!

I've also filled a small toiletry bag to leave in my desk drawer at work, with a tube of handcream, face wipes, moisturiser, etc.

I think someone was asking about cutting down big bars of soap a few pages back? I had some huge bars (the Letters from Brighton ones) and decided to cut one in half as they're pretty massive. It's not easy, as depending on how hard the soap is they tend to crack and crumble, but it can be done. I used a serrated knife in the end, warmed up, and sort of sawed at it. I don't think I'd bother doing it again though.

Anyway, time to wash this off and go and put tonight's chicken in the oven.

I find decent products are quite long-lasting though and I don't really need to retouch. depends on your skin though possibly!

Always retouch lip gloss, no need for a mirror, anytime anywhere.......except for the time I tried to do it when driving, :naughty:, blindly unscrewed the lid and it was only as I smeared the wand across my lips, did I realise it was my mascara, not my lipgloss:eek:[/QUOTE]

This made me laugh so much!! I nearly spat my tea all across my laptop!

Anyway i am pleased to report that not only have i have not spent anything i have finally used not 1 but 3 products up! To be fair there was not too much in the shampoo or shower gel but i used the last of the condition on my legs which worked a treat!
Took a chunk out of the mousse (sp) too!
    Good luck to all!

I'm about 10 pages back and don't know if this has been said yet, but one of the no7 xmas gifts contained "dandy pink" illuminating powder. Sadly it's not in stock and can't see it on the site, I've got it in my old orders, it was a £16 compact.

I too, barely paid it any attention, just assumed it was another blusher, and wasn't too impressed with the "island glow" illuminating powder either. But, hey, if it turns out they're benifit rip-offs, I may have to give them another look at:D I've still not been able to afford my first benifit item yet. am also a touch drunk on a £2.50 ale, cheese and parkin basket from asda:T
I love the island glow, have pale olive skin and most blushers etc look really done up and most bronzers seem to disappear into my skin. lol at the ale sounds better than cooking

Ooh me being nosey again, what you doing with your chicken? Thanks to whoever suggested the bolognaise pasta bake with mozzarella yesterday, we are having a version of that tonight, anyone else have trouble coming up with new ideas for dinner that everyone will eat?

Few finally made it to the end!

I spotted this thread mentioned in the decluttering thread on OS so had to come and find you all. I did this challenge for 100 days last year, starting in Easter, as one of the not buying something for 100 days on DFW and it was great. I itemised things, used all the random sachets and stopped stockpiling boots stuff, although I never went to the extremes of some.

Since then I've been really good, I sold some stuff last year through work and put the money on a boots giftcard, which I've been using to buy stuff since!

I've accuired a few lush bath bits, some soap and glory (including 2 hat boxes but they were with points earnt through inkjet cartridge recycling) and Cath Kidston hand stuff for Birthday and Christmas pressies (my SIL even remembered it was S&G that I loved!) and so that's topped me up nicely.

I need to itemise what I've still got and see how I'm getting on, a task for tonight I think!

I look forward to joining in with this thread :D

What a naughty girl, trying to get me to encourage you :naughty: I will do no such thing :A

pssst... It's the this one - No7 protect and perfect night cream :D

Ohhh, I love the body souffle and the body cream that comes in the pinky coloured tubs. They smell divine and make my skin feel amazing (sis didn't like it though, she said it made her skin feel 'waterproof', whatever that means  I did resist temptation to point out to her that her skin was already quite waterproof :p).

Thanks for that FM, luckily I'm being really good and have not bought anything I haven't needed (although do I really need 5 tubes of toothpaste :rotfl:). My main reason for all my stash was accumulating a lot of Avon from when I was a rep and then when I stopped being a rep I still couldn't stop myself. Luckily for me (not that I thought at the time) my hubby won't let me see an Avon book if it comes through the door, not that I even know if we have a rep, so the appeal has kind of dwindled. Also I don't like the thought that I can't try out these other products that others are raving about because I have too many items as it is.

I am pleased to report that I officially last bought something I didn't need in October 2009 unless you don't count buying items off of ebay because you really like them and they have been discontinued in which case it was the 9th September 2009 :rotfl:
