I have recently purchased the LG 42LH3000 in the sale for £400 - was this a good buy? and is the TV any good.

Why wouldn't you find that out before buying it??

Because it was in the Next sale and you only have seconds to decide before someone else has it.

    I think you did well.

I recently bought the 37LH3000 from Currys for £399 (expired offer before Xmas) and a 42LH4010 from Richer Sounds for £570.

The main difference between the 3000 and 4010 series is the 100Hz feature - which is not the be-all and end-all. Both are Full 1080p HD.

LG are a good brand for LCD TV's - not the best, but great value, good features, and I have found a good quality picture.
  • This was yesterday - my hubby was in our local asda and noticed the LG 32LH2000 for £297. We'd been after a HD tv for a bit but they were just way too expensive for a half decent one (I check which and reevoo before buying "big" things.) We saw a couple at tesco and somewhere before Christmas, but they were nearer the £400 mark and didn't get such good reviews.

Well I checked this one out and whilst it isn't a best buy they did suggest it was worth considering if you were on a budget. Reevoo gave it 9.2/10 from 181 reviews so it seemed pretty good. I checked asda online and it was £357 or thereabouts (can't remember exactly) and couldn't find it below £300 anywhere.

So we went and got one and it's pretty dam good! We'll have to wait to truly benefit from the HD bit as can't afford to upgrade to sky hd just yet, will have to wait for a free offer unless anyone has any suggestions!!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I started to see lots of good deals (various manufacturers) after purchasing mine & I am not technical in any way.
I shall just enjoy my TV when it arrives. Thanks again.
