I read it as her partner didn't know that it was dodgy and in fact she had to point it out to him

'Alarm bells rang when my partner could not find a return address and told me that the goods came from China, I replied that you cannot buy genuine goods from China'
I think partner was lucky to get anything at all from china, even if it was a fake.

I don't, If you read my post I quoted the OP who said ,

I was simply stating that you CAN buy genuine goods from China.

I think it is absolutely obvious what the OP was saying.....!

Ok for those of you who left constructive advice I would like to thank you in advance and the same would be said for any other comments that may be left on this subject

For those of you who left what I can only describe as abuse I would like to point out a couple of things to you

First of all my partner was trying to purchase a Christmas present for me and had no idea that the goods she was buying were fake, We do not purchase fake goods on purpose and as the web address was a .co.uk address it seemed that she thought it was a genuine website.

Now I know that genuine Abercrombie and Fitch goods come from the U.S and not China, It was only when my partner showed me the delivery receipt that I realised the goods had come from China so this was not my partners fault and if you think we are stupid enough to purchase counterfeit goods then try to claim them back on the card then you need to start thinking outside the box a little more

As you can see by the amount of posts im not a regular on here but if I could help someone I would, I just hope that those who have been negative on here do not require my help in the future, All I can say is that your not very welcoming and should maybe spend a little more time concentrating on important things in your life if you have any that is

Now back to the question in hand, The website my partner purchased the goods from looked genuine as it was a .co.uk address and it was only when I looked at it and did a who is that I realised it was fake and since then my partner has sent a few emails with no reply until this weekend and the answer we got was that the goods could be returned and they would supply us with a return address if we paid another £30 which is just not on as far as I am concerned

We have been onto trading standards and the credit card company who have now advised us as what to do next and I will keep you all posted as to the results when they happen in the hope that nobody else gets caught out

As for purchasing genuine goods from a China supermarket well I would not know about that kind of thing and quite frankly I find that a very silly answer indeed, I was talking about Abercrombie and Fitch not woks and chopsticks

Happy New Year and all the best for 2010

I think you need to go a touch careful calling people's views abuse.

I think the point is that a .co.uk address does not mean it is a UK based company. Its pretty easy to find out who the proprietor of the website is.

It would be useful if you would post the website address to warn others.

how much was paid for the top?
I bought 2 last week from the A&F shop and they were £80 and £120.

Probably have over 30 A&F tops that ive bought over the last few years but most of them were bought in Vegas.

You will get you money back, you will need to give it to trading standards who will confirm its fake, you wont get the top back, they will give to a receipt confirming its fake which you then pass to you credit card company who will refund your money.

Even if it cost under £100?
