Here we go again, you might just as well post "Whats the best food for my dinner", youll get more agreement!0

Well I wouldnt call it great, speaking from experience on medium....
I have no clue how much 'experience' you have
But I have a LOT of experience with a LOT of av programs. And Avira in its default 'medium' mode finds more trojans than just about any other program I know
Yes, Theres times that it might miss things that others will get (Obviously) but taken as an overall ratio then Avira nearly always trumps others (Again, in 'medium' mode)
Im really unsure of why this has given you the hump, but for the record...........I couldnt give 2 f***s:idea:0 -
Oh, trojans. Yes I know about Avira and trojans, it finds LOADS of false positives, every time you download a keygen program it tells you it's a bloody trojan! It's so bad you're probably quite likely to end up installing a trojan because you think Avira is just crying wolf again.
The reason it's "given me the hump" is it missed stuff on my computer and I had to switch AV programs to get rid of the malware. Therefore I do not rate it. You seem to be a veritable Avira fanboy though.0 -

If you have keygens then you already know the score. So whats the problem? (By the way, many MANY keygens DO have trojans in them):idea:0 -
Yes they can do but just screaming "trojan!!!" whenever you find a keygen isnt what I'd call intelligent practice.0

I agree. See you in another thread...0

I've seen Avast do exactly the same, I'm sticking with Avira.
Just to add, I replaced AVG with Avira on a friends old/low spec laptop, it's much faster and no problems at all.
His daughter is away at uni, phoned home having problems with infections, replaced AVG with Avira, which then found a raft of infections.
None of the above is scientific, but it's good enough for me.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Yes AVG can slow your computer a bit.0
