The thing I worry about etsy etc is that you have SOOOO much competiton. i think I'll start with craft fairs & the huge weekly 'car boot' near me at Ayr racecourse .. so this site.. posted earlier either on this thread or the crafting thread.. http://www.craft-fair.co.uk/Diary.cfm?NextDate=0 will be of use to me I think!

With etsy. folksy and misi you HAVE to promote them yourself, I know that as orders just wont fall in your lap unless you're very lucky.
I have decided to go with a folksy shop and see how it goes.

Was wondering if anyone can help me - I'm looking for an oxidised silver watch face (a bit like a fob watch) to make myself a charm necklace with - I've seen some made up for sale but only in bright silver, and also wanted to make myself one. I've looked on beads direct, beads unlimited, PJ beads etc and can't seem to find any. Ideally I love a fancy one, with a kind of cage setting, but if all I can get is a plain round one I'll go with that.

Many thanks in advance if anyone can point me in the right direction - been looking for ages!

Hope the Folksy shop goes well yukki, your makes are lovely. Do you have a face book or twitter account where you can promote your shop? Also a good idea is to add a signature on your emails with a link to your shop.
