Hi. it depends on how thick and heavy your packages end up to be honest. I checked royal mail.com and went with the small packages guidelines for USA and European union. I send my charm bracelets and necklaces in gift boxes and padded envelope, so they are light but to thick to go through the standard letter slot at the P.O.

I normally charge £1.70 when sending in the Uk on Ebay, so on Dawanda I made it a flat rate of 2.00 Euros for UK, 2.60 Euros for USA and 2.30 Euros for EU. That covers slight fluctuations in the exchange rate.
That includes 27p per gift box and 10p per envelope and 5p for bubble wrap, it all adds up lol.

I hope that helps and not confuses you.

It says the website is no longer in use??

Contact Crafty Juju - lots of people have bought children's jewellery from her - you can pm her!

blondeprincess - I've tried replying to the PM you sent me but I keep getting the message you don't accept private messages! Is it something you set up when you joined MSE? I would reply on here but I'm not allowed to post links to work!

I was wondering if the lovely peeps on this thread would be able to offer me a little bit of 'basic' advice.

I want to make some simple pony bead bracelets similar to these:

I'm using clear stretch elastic but I find that the knots have a tendancy to work loose and come undone. I am tying a reef knot, then a "granny knot", pulling it tight as I go. I then snip off the loose ends of thread, leaving about 2 - 3mm.
Is there a better way to secure them (i.e. lots of knots which is a bit messy) or should I use a different type of elastic?
I'm making them to sell to my dance group, but I want to be confident they're not going to end up as a pile of beads on the floor of the dance studio!!!

Hi, I work in a bead shop and we find that the best way to do the elastic is to get the two ends together, hold on too them and push the beads down - taking the stretchiness out of the elastic, then with the two ends tie them together as though you are tying a balloon, then pull either side of the knot to check it's held.

The key to this method is making sure that you pull the elastic really tight

    hope this helps

Hopefully I will be able to make my item for the flowers jewellery challenge this weekend. I already have a vague idea (I know which beads I am using anyway!) so hopefully it will come together ok!
