Well Ive been anit MIA on here the last couple of weeks. I am going to spend some time uploading pics off my computer and updating my blog then I can catch up on the thread too0

I've just posted on my blog some pictures of bag charms that I made as end of term gifts for my colleagues along with some pretty little heart shaped bags that I made to put them in.
I was going to use two of these as my entries for this weeks challenge as one has a rose charm attached and the other has a lovely cute heart shaped bead in blue with a pink rose in the centre. (And my bags are flowery, tho' that's cheating)but I'm not sure if the challenge will be going ahead this week bearing in mind that as nic2075 posted everything has gone very quiet on here. Maybe in light of the holiday season and the lack of entries to the challenge VikkiJD might want to extend the time available for completion of her challenge. I know she posted earlier that she is away to Spain for 2 weeks from today, so perhaps we could agree that we will extend the challenge till her return?

I've been looking at this thread as a change to my usual grabbit and freebie threads. I'm keen to start making fimo bits and bobs but am having trouble finding the translucent fimo. I can find translucent White but I'm nit too sure if that's a colour in it's own right. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which one I need to make the other colours translucent and where I can get it?
On a separate note,I noticed my local hobbycraft had quite a few decent reductions on beads, pliers and pliers sets as well as other bits and bobs around the store. I picked up some round nose and flat nose pliers for £1.34 each. They also had sets half price and 3in1 pliers for £3.99. The reduced beads were in tubes and reduced to £1.49 a tube.
Funnily enough, I didn't come out with What I went in for which was translucent fimo and 4 or 6mm faceted beads!July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -

Hi I get translucant fimo from eBay or craftceller.co.uk I use trans White mixed with normal fimo soft White to make teapots that look like porcelain. If you mix trans White with other colours it makes them slightly translucant. Hope that all makes sense.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
That's fab, thanks nic. I wasn't too sure if it would make them more White or turn reds pink etc. Thanks for your help:)
Also hobbycraft have fimo 56g blocks on at 3 for 2 at the moment which works out at £4.10. I noticed this is cheaper than eBay at the moment and at least you know it won't get part baked in a delivery van in this hot weather!July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -
