Try (bizarrely!) thesilvercorporation dot co dot uk They have good quality sterling silver & copper findings and they aren't at all expensive. I've ordered from them for more than four years and they are utterly reliable and their quality & fast service is excellent .

I have just uploaded pics of my recycled challenge to my blog.

For some years now I have had a beaded belt which came with a bought skirt. The beads on it are lovely and I would often get it out just to look at it -:o, well look at it was all I could do as there was no way it would fit my extending midriff :(.

So thanks are due to Crafty JuJu, because this challenge has spured me on to recycle the belt into a wearable necklace :T.

First I jus wanted to show you all a set I made for my great Aunts 80th Birthday. I have never made a necklace before and wasnt intending on making one but after I made the bracelet I thought I would just give it a go. Being 80 is such a special birthday I really wanted something she could keep so felt a complete set was better. Im really happy with how it all turned out and my great Aunt loved them too! She may be 80 but she doesnt look a day over 60! I hope you all like it :D

And my entry into this weeks challenge is below:

    Misc030.jpg

I have a wonder best friend whom is extremely loyal, thoughtful and brutally honest! She loves to sew and has recently started getting her sewing mojo back, and she also loves to read and has farrrrrrr too many books! (She sometimes MSE stalks me hence why Im being so nice hahaha). When I was thinking of what to make for this weeks challenge I couldnt think of a better person to make for as I love her more than I can describe, plus I had some mini bookmarks I had bought in a bulk order and had yet to try out! And I had also bought some Singer sewing machine charms! So there ya go, above is the result :D

These are exactly the type of thing i want to make in a variety of colours and styles for christmas gifts this year. They are really pretty but not too fussy and too much going on. Also would love to make bag charms too and maybe even bookmarks eventually. As a complete novice, would you be so kind as to break down what i need to get me started. I've seen loads of beads on ebay, but i mean the bases and clasps etc and how i go about it. i understand if you dont want to share, but this is purely for personal use. Im not selling anything on ebay. I've seen loads of guides but nothing seems to make sense yet.

    Hope you can help

    Thanks

Fab Jo - had to look twice to see what it was - got confused and thought 'those scrabble squares are a funny colour' lmao. I love it!

Hi Malibusami86 :D. They really are a lovely set like you say, perfect to give as gifts! I think I will probably do some more like this for gifts. I am more than happy to share how I did it all with you, we are share and offer advice here so I would never hold it back as so many others have helped me. Its all quite simple really. I am just of out so I will reply with the instructions later.

I've made some more fimo buns, cakes and a few strawberries. Will probably use them for the bag charms I ordered from ebay. They are on my blog if anyone wants a peep!!!

I'm off to Marrakech tomorrow so will hopefully the bag charm bits will have arrived by the time I return ready for me to use the fimo charms.
