hi all i purchased some fimo soft the other day and iv been making donuts and marshmallows, so the first lot came out the oven and they were too big so i tried again just, this lot the marshmallows turned a funny colour and the donuts seem like they have too, how do i come about this/ and also how do you put the metal hook in to make the charm?

Hi, it sounds like your oven has been too hot or it was in too long. If an items really small I find the 30 mins is too long and 15-20 is fine. I also add the wire/ headpin before cooking. If it's wire the I fold over the end of the wire so there's a bigger surface area, the I push it through the cake part of the donut. I do it from the middle so it's not right through the whole donut. I then add the icing, using a wooden skewer to make the hole. That way the pin is I. And then the icing looks more real. Hth

I cook my fimo on silver foil and also cover it with silver foil. I find this helps to prevent the colour staining esp on white as it burns easily.

Of course I dont mind lol the watches are the one thing I really love making x

I have worked on my entry into the weekly competition tonight so hopefully I can get it photographed tomorrow and put on. Im having trouble with my camera at the minute though.

so I thought I would have a bash at doing a facebook fan page/shop for my jewellery. Just thought I would set the little bits n bobs up tonight then I can upload some makes over the weekend when I have hopefully foudn the lead for my camera!
