Its crazy how quick they go!

I need to find a good head pin wholesaler... JB do them 1000 for £14.95.. does anyone else know of any good deals on head pins... I don`t want to order from China as I`m impatient lol!

I get mine from Sanctury Beads on Ebay, it's usually less than a tenner for 1000 and I have found them to be good quality, I can't remember how much I paid last time, but it was definately less than £10 and that included postage.

Be warned though, I got an email from them this morning, they are currently re-doing the Ebay shop, so not everything is listed, but if you get in touch wiht them, they may be able to sort something out.

Just a quick question, if I start selling jewellery, do I need public liability insurance?

    Hi,

I've been lurking for a little while and thought I'd post as you've all inspired me! I used to make jewellery quite a lot when I was younger but got out of the habit and (stupidly!) gave my 'kit' away.

I'm now wanting to start up again and wonder if anybody knows of any good value starter sets or whether people think it's best to just buy each element I want individually?

Also, I have seen some recommendations here and on other threads but if anyone uses a supplier they'd highly recommend, I'd love to hear about them. Thank you!:)

Hi, Have just popped in from the crochet thread and all your creations are stunning:T
I have a question though..... have any of you crocheted with jewellery wire? I recently aquired a book by jan eaton and she has some pictures of bracelets and necklaces using crochet, there are patterns on the net but I would be grateful for any feedback from anybody on here that has used this method...eg what wire to use ect

    Regards
    Shelly

  • OOOO I'm so glad I found this thread. Gorgeous bracelets ladies. I'm ahem 40 today and have quite a bit of birthday cash. I'm going to buy a sewing machine but was also going to buy some earrings. Then I thought why not make some instead!! My lovely friend gave me some stuff a while ago, hooks, wires and pins, so I just need some round nose pliers??? and lovely beads, can't wait !!

    Happy Birthday for yesterday jollymummy.
If you have the basic kit of hooks, wires etc then you really only need the round nosed pliers and perhaps some wire cutters.
Would love to see what you make.
