    They are not shopping through choice though are they? As someone who has always gone to NEXT's early openings (i seem to think even as early as 3am once!) I could never imagine dragging my children out of bed in the middle of the night, dressing them and then taking them into the madness of a NEXT sale for a couple of hours (sometimes longer when queues have been particularly bad), surely no child would enjoy that? If for some reason I couldn't leave them at home I would have waited until later and risked missing a few bargains.

    I totally agree. I wouldn't drag my child out of bed at that hour for anything :eek:
    My dd is almost 2 now so she walks almost everywhere (she hates sitting in her buggy) so it's not really a problem for me any more, but when she was little, people would be so rude just because I had a pushchair & I was always over-cautious about getting in the way of human traffic, that it stopped me from shopping in most places....
    But I've also seen kids screaming & their mum's just ignoring them in favour to shop, and it makes me wonder :confused:
    But if you're stuck & you need to buy something, what can you do? :confused:
  • Yo would have loved the women in my local store who were using their pushchair as a trolley and no child in sight :mad:

    OMG! :rotfl:
  • There was still a queue at the Next branch I went to just after 2:00pm today! I was left wondering if the fuss over Next is worth it, maybe next time I'll pop in & see why people spend an hour or more queueing up to get in.
  • Next at the Bullring in brum was horrendous! - the longest queue in history - arrived at 6.30 am thinking would still get decent spot in the queue but the queue was sooo ridiculously long it wasn't worth it so went to debenhams instead then returned to the not as massive queue at 7.30am queued for about 10mins & was told to return afer 8pm as there was said to be over 4000 people already in store (not sure that that many is possible) so went to boots sale instead when i returned at about 8.30 queued for about 20 mins - but wasted journey as nothing decent left + the queues to buy the clothes were almost as bad as the queues to get in!!!

    I agree that pushchairs in these particular sales shouldn't be allowed - i have a two year old who travels in a pushchair & wouldn't consider subjecting her to that kind of chaos!

    i love shopping but i will never put my baba who is 11 months old into this. even my 40 yrs old got frustrated, what about a small kid who is trapped in d cramped seat?

    i was in metrocentre this morning,the minute i walk in i want to walk out, clothes strewn everywhere, queue were as long as you can see, i had my MIL take care of my son otherwise i will just not go

    in the end i managed to spend 100 on baby clothes only as no point wander off to the other department, absolute heaving

    in big store like the one i got to, i have no idea wat the management is thinking, only 4 counters/depart to pay for stuff, they shoulda set up some emergency counter during sales. 5am would b better for a major sales like this

    anyway i still love trawling through the clothes looking for something for baba, hopefully they will restock again next week, and tomorow will pop by again if got chance after church

    OMG why does any child need 5 coats!!! :rotfl: He must be the best dressed kid in school! :D

    School??? He's only 10 months old :rotfl::rotfl:

    Bit to try and justify it a bit - The coats are all in different sizes, actually scrap that, I'm just lying to myself - I have obsession with buying DS coats - he must have about 25 now - all bargains though - none at full price my best bargain was a green parker from Tesco reduced from £14.99 to £1.75 (£1.58 after mum's staff discount :D)
