I'm off alcohol today - still feel slightly dodgy after yesterday's indulgence...

Have signed up to the £100 clothes challenge (though will need to spend more when I lose weight). Have yet to unwrap the remoska mum and dad bought us; then plan to see what I can cook in it!!! I think i've lost my mojo!

    K-bagpus, congratulations on the engagement!

Superdrug does have some 10p goods - not many in my local branch, but if a hotwater bottle cover shaped like a naked female torso is something you need, then it can be yours. I got one for my christmas gift box for next year, also a calculator where it has a picture of numbers of fingers on each key, rather than actual numbers. Looked like some v small toiletries gift sets also.

I would not make a trip just for these (stock levels looked v low), but I recommend popping in if you are out.

Bit of a roller coaster ride for me....I went out on christmas eve for the first time in about mmmm 22 years and got a bit excited and got drunk...no more than normal, but I woke up very ill on Christmas Day. After the ususal confusion of presents and whose were whose....I ended up feeling sick with the trots.

I got no sympathy as you can imagine but struggled through the tiniest christmas dinner I have ever had and had a couple of cointreau and hot waters.......with pepto bismol on the side.

Woke up in the night with really a really bad stomach, burning up but freezing and shivering and achey all over. I felt so bad I even considered going to hospital cos I thought I had swine flu or meningitis.

Just managed turkey, chips peas and gravy and have heat patch on my back. Tired but starting to feel marginally better.

Hope everyone else had a good christmas...

    Well done k-bagpuss....

Somehow my brain twisted that sentence into 'I have roast cat....'. :D

Hello everyone, hope you've all had a good Christmas!

Just got back from staying with family, and have dropped the kids off with their Dad, so the house is quiet (and yet still messy ).

Bit of a strange Christmas for me, but still quite nice and with a couple of lovely highlights. :)

:D Cheers Beanie - kisses and hugs from Mr Sunday sitting in his car on Christmas morning were one of them! :D And also the Tim Minchin DVD he gave me...which he is going to watch with me (Mr Sunday AND Tim Minchin at the same time....now there is a thought.... :D).

And it has been lovely seeing the kids so happy and excited. They have been brilliant, and it really reminded me how lucky I am. :A
