Argos Terrys Chocolate orange 25p ...possibly even free!

Hi got my Mum to pick the 5 oranges up for me as I was too embarrased to go myself and also saved my petrol. he he
Got 5 for a grand total of 75p.
Now all I need to do is think of what to do with them all............

I managed to get the last 8 in my local store for £1.00.
I was served by the manager who just smiled and said how much of a bargin they were.

I went to the self service tills and the number wasn't recognised. I checked with the customer service manager and she told me that what happened was when the computer was reserving the oranges it 'forgot' about the bogof. So ppl who had reserved 8 say got 16. It wasn't until later that they realised they hadn't got enough to honor all the reservations
Obviously a computer problem or someone at head office hadn't sorted it out properly so not the store's fault.
I went in at 11 and they'd all gone
oh well never mind!

I received one reservation but not the other - I was told it had been cancelled due to insufficient stock. I have written a complaint letter to their Customer Services at:

Obviously it is not a good thing if they can manually cancel (without informing the customer) as store staff can give sale items to whoever they like (therefore making the Reserve & Collect service a joke)!

whats the point in complaining you got one of your orders i would be pleased with that and be quiet
sorry for all those who didnt get there orders at all it seems so managers have chosen to veto orders and keep them for themselves etc

i got 10 from bromley for £1.50 my friends reservation however wasnt recgonised

went to collect my 10, but was told due to a system overload more were reserved than were available so i couldn't get them :-(

Same here, ordered 20 and they told my other half they has run out ,travelled 10 miles i am not happy especially as they were reserved was your store in daventry by any chance?
Whats the point of the reservation system?

I went this afternoon. I thought I had reserved the last 4. Went to the self service point but it didn't recognise my reservation number.

So I went to cs counter; very nice lady said as the computer had allowed too many people to reserve them there weren't enough to meet the demand. Hence they had decided to sell them on a first come basis and limit them to 4 per customer. She then very nicely told me they were bogof so my 4 choc would be 50p.

I am happy with this. She did mention that some people had reserved a lot but they would only get 4!
