Just an update for those who are interested.
Just left down the telephone to Hobbycraft again. This time I spoke to a female who stated that there was no Henry working there. She asked me did I realise that I had telephoned a shop called Hobbycraft. She also said that Hobbycraft has over forty stores. All this because I said "Can I speak to Henry please". However as she argued with me for a few minutes on the telephone the deputy manager must have heard her as he then came on the telephone and she had not said she was passing the call over and was still ranting that there was no Henry working there. Steve the deputy manager asked for my name but could not find any reference of me/my order although I had stated that Henry had taken it down incorrectly. When he got my telephone number he was able to state that he still had the 15 buckets and that three were to come in from the Newport store. He said that the person who sends the things over from their Newport store had been off this week but they were expected back again tomorrow. He said he would contact me as soon as they received them.
Next time I am on mainland uk I will have to add Hobbycraft to my to do/see list.
Telephoned this evening again and spoke to Steve, deputy manager, and he said the girl is still off sick but she is supposed to be back to work either tomorrow morning or Sunday morning and that they will telephone me then so they can arrange to take payment from my card. He said to give him a call on Monday before 8pm and that hopefully someone will have called me by then to take the payment. However, if that has not happened he knows where the girl lives and he will call round to her house personally to get the other three gold buckets and then he will contact me.

mmmm chocolate sherbert never seen that before. Bet kids love it! When we used to live in Lancs sherberty stuff was called kayli (dont know if thats spelt right) with a spanish (liquorice) and all sweets are called toffee, even if its a hard boiled sweet.....eee by eck them were the days!!
Ah the memories. In Manchester sherbet was a bit like fluffy icing sugar that frothed in your mouth whereas we called kayli the stuff that was a bit like sugar granules and you could get rainbow kayli too. Remember spanish too in a sherbet fountain. Do you remember when sherbet fountain tubes were cardboard, well they're plastic and properly sealed now! And talking about toffees...I can hear myself saying to my mum now 'Can I have some toffees?' lol So sorry for the trip down memory lane, your post pennib has brought it all back
Love all the pictures as usual. (she says quickly getting back on topic) This thread and the crochet one are two of my favourites.

kayli.............thats what we called it -couldn't remember but I know it was also called sherbet dip.
At our new sweet shop its sold from a jar.........not sure how big a jar to decant it in.......I seem to have all coffee jars and gravy tubs ...........would they be too big do you think ? The white powdery one (can't think what its called) needs to be in a glass jar so it looks like snow...........oh blow it...........both can go in glass jars...............lolI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

yes I remember that the sugary stuff was called kayli (sp) why is it called that? Spanish cos liquorice originally came from Spain. Havn't lived in Lans for 20 odd years so it all might have changed now! eeee by gum :rotfl:

I am going to a christening and wanted to make a sock monkey as a present. I couldnt find any socks suitable, but if you dont mind, I shall pinch your idea and get baby socks and make a little one.
Did you knit the hats - they are so cute! I cant knit, so I will leave the hats and scarves!Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."
