I've popped on to show you what someone made ME as a belated b'day pressie. I'm so chuffed and think if people have the time it would be lovely to do and tailor to someone you know. It's an altered book. Alice Cooper crossed with Alice in Wonderland - flipping fantastic it is. I'll pop my blog link as I took so many piccies of it I don't want to crash this thread :D

    whoopidoo - what a lovely idea............:T

Well I've been scrapbooking -well sort of............bought a board book last year and got around to covering the pages but no further. It's for my mums friends niece.........she was so good to mum when she was alive and did all the things I'd have done if I lived nearer........she said all she wanted was a photo........well now she's got a sort of potted history of my mum.............just need to put a few embellishments on the pages and that'll be done.............her birthdays beginning of April -she reminded me think thats what made me get a move on.
Hadn't done it before as I couldn't bring myself to go through mums photos.............but now I have I feel better for it;)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    I lost you!!!!!!
Well in typical me fashion I introduced myself, had a nosy, wrote down what I would like to try, decided to try and knit, downloaded a pattern. I then started and was quite proud of myself. Popped back to chat and hadn't book marked ANYTHING!!!!! I couldn't even remember what site I had found you all on!! I do it all the time!
Anyway I have found you now and boy have you been busy, taken me ages to catch up again but I've put you in favourites this time!
I do have a question... I have made a very crude attempt at knitting one of the jolly octopuses from the Jean Green Howe free patterns, one of my twins has fallen in love with it but the other keeps picking it's eyes off (they are 2). So glue is no good. I tried piercing the google eyes with wool and sewing on but it made the octopus look evil!!! I then tried cotton but he managed to pull that off too. Any ideas, the google eyes look good so want to stick with them if I can but don't want a choking incident.
Thank you ladies, I love sooo much on here again, I'll never get it all done!
