Vote for the worst creditor of 2009!

Shall we have a vote for the worst creditor to deal with on a DMP in 2009?

My vote goes to Grattan/Look Again as they have made an absolute hash of my account on the DMP and are trying on all sorts of dodgy stuff. I wrote to them asking for a copy of my credit agreement as advised to do by CCCS and I have not had a response but today I get a letter from them sending me a credit agreement to sign!!!!! MORONS!!!!!

Name and shame those scrooges people!!

Merry Xmas!

  • Whilst i do not applaud slating threads, but although with my lack of direct contact with creditors (i was helping a friend) it would be a tie between Vanquis and HMRC (tax)
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
  • for me it's citicard. they eventually passed the account on to capquest and things got easier....

    ROFL :rotfl:

Yes would have to agree with that one.
On son's behalf will also nominate littlewoods for making a complete hash of his account by stating arrears when there never were any, then promising to sort it out and in fact increasing the 'arrears' amount on his account. Son is making last payment shortly so will close it altogether.

BarclayCard for persistently returning the DMP payment cheque and then calling many times to demand payment.

    DFD 2014!
  • I have to go with Barclaycard/Mercers for their constant harrassment and having the gall to send a doorstep collector whilst refusing my dmp payments and also Halifax for the same reasons.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
  • Definately got to vote for Barclaycard/Mercers (one & the same!)

Just had a call from Mercers today - Boxing Day (ignored it of course)

They continue to deny they have received offers and payments and then ring up to x15 times a day - Harrassment at it's ultimate best:T - WELL DONE MERCERS!!!

They are closely followed by Lloyds - due to the high interest charges:confused:

Hopefully things will get better into the New Year!:o

It would have to be Welcome Finance, for saying that it is illegal for theem to freeze interest on my account
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D

Utter Vampires. Extreme interest rates and charges. Totaly unhelpful
when trying to deal with them. Their every thought is how to squeze as much extra cash out of you however hard your trying to improve the situation.
