    Clogging up data networks by ramming huge chunks of video down it must surely create vast overheads?
    Wrong,the normal freeview channels come down your aerial as normal,not through broadband.

    Surely the poster was referring to the on demand. To the op just because you don't get freeview don't mean you can not plug it in and see for yourself that the box wont boot. But it is a known fact this box dont boot without the broadband and vision account from bt. Do yourself a favour and buy a decent humax pvr.
