:xmassmile A very Merry Christmas to one and all. Best wishes for the New Year and everything crossed in the hope that we all survive 2010 with some peace and happiness along the way.

Thanks to everyone for the insight and knowledge you've shared and for your companionship this year. I look forward to your company in the coming months.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I would also like to use this space to extend my greatest thanks to all those who have helped me this year (you know who you are, so won't embarrass by naming), it is very much appreciated, even if I am rather formal in my replies via PM, I really do think the world of those who have helped.

Onwards and upwards for 2010 eh?

Now best get back to my mince pies...24 down, only another 60 odd to go plus icing the cake that I was up at 7am making this morning!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Also, in this time of family and friends, spare a thought for those less fortunate, who have no one to speak of. Although they spend the year performing a Herculean task, it is ultimately a thankless, and arguably pointless, role, a supreme sacrifice if you like. I know they don't do it for the thanks, but lets offer our own MSE version to our constant and silent companion... rewired.

this is a very good thought

i would just like to add that it is a time to remember those that are no longer with us...
the great Mr Broderick, the ever returning AD9898, the mysterious NDG, the forum entertainer Geoffky, the resident fairground fortune teller Brit1234 and of course the comic genius of dear old Mewbie who has been taken from us to that shiny forum in the sky.

    lest we forget
  • Ahh see this is nice, you all getting along. Despite all of the bickering, I knew it was one big ((((hugs)))) fest on here really.

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all have a happy, healthy and peaceful time x

When are we having a Christmas "dust-up"?

We can't all sign of for Christmas without on final rant

Perhaps we can have one day a year when, like Pobby's excellent link, we can climb out of our trenches and shake hands across the great bear / bull divide. Despite the daily round of flag waving, ad hominem attacks, and teeth gnashing I suspect most, if not all of us, are actually normal people, just trying to get on with our lives in whatever way is right for us.

tbh - for us extremists it will be nice to have a day off.

Can't have a Christmas row until after the Queen's Speech. It's disrespectful and people are too sober before that in the UK.

Of course in Aus we're all sh1tfaced and asleep by that point as it's on at about 2am so we save the arguments for Boxing Day.

Mine this year is going to be about whether or not my wife's second cousin is an idiot for supporting an out of area footie team. I think my wife's is going to be about a particularly esoteric part of recycling law in the Fairfield council area about which we are both unsure. We will be sleeping in separate beds until 3am when I will awake with cramp in my legs and so apologise for being unaware that clingfilm is recyclable.
