As they wear down they're easier to get in and out but I agree... they're tight to strat with, and if the bar goes in slightly damp it means it then gets stuck to the bottom and you get lumps stuck to the tin.
don't get me wrong, I think the concept of the tins are good and when we go away I put my bars in their tins so they dont' get damaged in transit (or leave soap stuck to my toothbrush :rotfl:) but don't use the tins to store the bars in when they're being usedApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
I bought some stuff (about £20) worth and my gift bag (lucky dip) contained loads!
A small bottle of snow fairy (*shudder* - I do hate this stuff, so I mailed it to my sister)
A santa bath bomb
ruby red slippers bubble bar
A little white bath bomb - might be Butterball
White gloop in a plastic box - Snowcake shower jel
A purple bath bomb with stars in it - Jingle Spells
A large white one with confetti in it - Sounds like Snowdrops
An unidentified red bubble bar - poss Flosty Gritter
Really happy with that - even though I don't know what half of it is

The order originally came to £30.55 (ie just enough to qualify for the £10 of free stuff) but I got an email from Lush a couple of days ago to inform me that one of the items on my order was no longer available/discontinued. Because of this, the order only came to £27.60 but Lush still sent me the Free Stuff :T :T
The Free Stuff: 3 soaps (Angels Delight, Porridge, Snowcake) and 4 Ballistics (Think Pink, Honey Bee, Avobath, and Big Blue). Value of the free stuff is just over £20. The FS was packed in a separate box labelled "£10" so I assume it's the same box that gets sent out to everyone who qualifies for the £10 of Free Stuff. I'll definitely use the ballistics and the Snowcake soap (I like the smell).
Hope this is useful to anyone who was thinking of ordering online.
I ordered online and got the £20 box of free stuff. The contents were the same as the £10 box listed above with the addition of an extra ballistic (Blackberry), a tub of Strawberry Santa shower jelly, and a Snow Fairy solid perfume. I'll use everything apart from the perfume, and even though it wasn't as good an offer as in store, it allowed me to stock up on some of my favourite retro products and on Snow Fairy and get free stuff into the bargain!0 -

I have the same problem, if its any help the square tins are easier to open then the circular tins. Also try to only take half the tin with the product before I step in the shower seems to help- and drying the product off (air dry) before closing the tin helps too.
Maybe if we all write/email Lush they may improve the design? they sort of need to include a Lush leaver to open the tins really don't they?!0 -
You're lucky, we never seem to get a good deal from our Southampton one

hmm, i had one really good grab bag from the southampton one which i got on boxing day, and since then the grab bags were rubbish.just tons and tons of loose bathbombs inside! also was not terribly impressed the day they'd sold out of grab bags and i went away with a £6.95 gift box instead, as the next time i went back these gift boxes (and more expensive ones) were included with other stuff in grab bags!
