I didn't get to Sheffield (Fargate) Lush until about 11.15am (they opened at 9) but they had plenty of Fairytale hatboxes left, plus I also got Merry Christmas and Stardust gift boxes (plenty of those too), and a lucky dip bag - and I stocked up on Lush stuff for the year. I didn't ask whether they'd had any bigger hatboxes when they opened, but I was happy with what I got.
I can't believe some of the posts about MSE on the Lush forum, and I agree with Chrissi about how !!!!!y and cliquey it is on there. They are portraying all of us MSE-ers as grabby chavs, while they are all holier than thou - some of them seriously need to remove their heads from out of where the sun don't shine! We've had a tough Christmas day this year (as anyone who is a carer for a confused older relative will understand) and that was also the reason for me not being able to make it down any earlier today. If the worst that the Lush forum people experienced on Christmas day was to have to decide whether to go to the Lush sale early in case there were sharp-elbowed MSE people in the queue, then they've had it lucky. Lush is a real treat for me and like many people here I see the Lush sale as a chance to get some things that I wouldn't normally buy, not a chance to make money on eBay!
Sorry, rant over. Hope you all got what you wanted!
Oh yes, they also had some Vanilla boxes too - didn't go for those as I can't wear perfume, but they were about £35 so a good choice if you like it.0 -

That's true, and the same can be said of UKHD. Some people here are grabby-grabby- it's always a few people who tar the name of the rest.
Most of the people I saw today wanted the Lush for themselves, I even recognised someone from last year!0 -
Good to hear some of you have got good bargins today.
Id love to go but dont drive and no trains/bus service here today and I was cooking a veggie roast dinner for me and parents today so no chance - I dont think Il go near Mrry Hill until it calms down a bit:eek:
Il have a look if I go to Birmingham tomorrow but not too much I need as had some Lush goodies for Christmas and should use up old stuff really!
If they do the same grab bags offer In Jan I might get one but dont ever use the bath bombs.
Do like Lush and their friendly staff - and the fact that about 60-70% of the ranges are vegan:TSealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Got to the one in town about 9.10 and was so annoyed that I'd been held up earlier (oh well, too bad). It wasn't too busy but she said they'd had a couple of the big hatboxes and they went straight away. They had loads to choose from with the most expensive ones left being the ones with the vanilla perfume in. Had it in my basket but then decided on the "You're a Star" which was £32.95. May go back in tomorrow and if they're got the one with the perfume I'll get that as I had a spray of it and it smells lovely. Hope you're all lucky girls. Well done to those who got the expensive hatboxes. If I had known then what I know now . . .
:A Official Boots Tart (I seem to be retired just now though) :A0 -
Got to the Cardiff one at 8am this morning to discover when you spent £20 you could choose a Christmas gift set from a big box/crate in the front of the store. They must've opened around 7-7.30 as only small boxes left, so I didn't bother. I long for the time when I was the only one stood outside Lush Cardiff after Christmas and got a massive hatbox after spending £15!0

Hi - after reading on here the offer wasn't as good as last year I decided not to bother today, but may go in tomorrow to see if there's any bargains left - I got £20 vouchers for Christmas and I absolutely love Lush stuff :-) Last year I got a Think Pink hatbox free which was great - does anyone know if The Art of Bathing hatboxes are included in this offer? Altho I doubt if there's anything left at the Brighton store! Or indeed if it's open tomorrow........ Previous years I've been happy with a large size I Love Juicy as my freebie, but would love another Think Pink or Art of Bathing hatbox.0
