    Hi jinny,

I don't have a 9'' tin so can't help with that but I generally use milk and only use cream if I have some that needs using up. I blind bake the pastry before adding the filling as that helps stop it from becomming soggy.

There's an earlier thread with lots of recipes and tips that should help:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

Can someone help me? We are going away on Saturday and I need to use up my food in the fridge!

I have a box of cottage cheese and a bit of grated mozzarella left in my fridge. Was going to make some biscuits later on as well, so will have a few eggs left as well. I thought that something like quiche would be good for dinner tonight, but I don't think I ever made one...

Can someone give my an idea of how to make it? What sort of filling could I do?

They freeze fine, and if you make little individual ones, they defrost really quickly. If you take them out in the morning before you go to work they should be defrosted by lunchtime.

Quick question...do you have to re-heat them after defrosting or do you just eat them cold straight after defrosting?

    Hi Kippers,

You can just eat them after defrosting but I prefer to reheat them in the oven as it crisps up the pastry which can be a bit soggy after freezing.
