I'm not sure how "immediate payment required" BIN works, but if it works the way I assume it does, wouldn't it be appropriate to use in a case like this?

You can only use immediate payment on a BIN, and as there was more than one bidder on these tickets according to OP that means this was a straight auction.

quite surprised TBH as RM have to get permission to be off on the Saturday
  • If she is collecting in person ask for cash.

If the worst comes to the worst sell them on Gumtree to get a quick cash sale.

I think I've just learnt from the OP's (potential) mistake. If selling tickets near to the date of the show - use BIN.

The buyer is only collecting on the day of the show, which I can understand as their travelling from quite a distance. So unfortunately I won't have time to resell them if she no-shows. I am hoping for a paypal gift payment, ( I read about this on this forum for cases like mine , where you get the money guaranteed and they can't do a claim back if they decide to back out, or claim they never received the tickets, as no tracking number or proof is provided if they collect)

Actually you do have the option of small claims court if they don't turn up, so keep all your correspondence. Most people would then cough up the money on receiving a "letter before action", as they don't want the added court costs.

It is a last resort though.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
