I sold tickets 4 27Dec buyer not yet paid

Hi, needing advise please.

Sold tickets 0n 21dec/11am on auction for Theatre showing on 27Dec. Automated invoice was sent and a polite follow up email sent 24hrs later requesting immediate payment so I could post out by special delivery. I also have phoned their telephone number off their ebay account a couple of times but no answer.

How do I proceed? I have a couple of other bidders who were outbid and also another person gave me her tel nbr to call her if they didnt sell.

Do I have to notifiy ebay/PP if I do a 2nd chance offer ( I don't know how to do this either!)

Help!

you would have to do a NPB on first buyer, wait for it to finish and then send second chance offer to second bidder

otherwise first buyer could still pay and you end up with two lots of FVF fees and possibly a neg or two from each of the buyers if they didnt get tickets on time for theatre showing

Your problem now is that even if you chance a second chance offer you would need to ship today to get the tickets there in time, if the other potential buyer accepts the offer you would need them to pay and get to the PO quickly, is that possible?

tomorrow is the last delivery date before Christmas and even then in some areas the service can be limited. Satruday may well also be patchy and of course standard next day delivery doesn't automatically cover Saturday.

Have you phoned the original buyer?

Confirm I have tried to ring them numerous times and just now, but no answer at all.

I can get to the post office today no problem.

Sorry don't know about NPB procedure, is this the way to proceed and would somebody maybe give me steps or a link to how I go about this, and do I have enough time?

Really appreciate the help given, Thank you cally & soolin.

If a buyer doesn’t pay for an item within 4 days, sellers can open an unpaid item case in the resolution centre.

So they have until xmas day to pay. So i am assuming you can't do anything until boxing day.

Do you think that maybe they don't want them posting and will collect them in person with maybe paying cash?

  • I'd give the other person a call and shift the tickets quick! Did the person who won have high feedback/multiple transactions? Don't worry about getting neg feedback - would you rather an electronic dot against your name on an auction site or cash in your pocket? That's the view i use when selling my stuff on ebay.
Don't tell them your name, Pike! :D

I have had no communication back from them at all unfortunately.
I did wonder if it might be to do with the snow as their live in Yorkshire, quite a distance from the venue near Manchester.

The profile says been a member since 04 and 85 feedback
  • Just contact the next highest bidder if they want them sell them, try to cancle the transaction too.
    1. Go to My eBay. You may be asked to sign in.
    2. Click Sold.
    3. Next to your listing, select Resolve a problem from the pull-down menu.
The Resolution Centre – "Resolve a problem" form appears.
    4. Select "I sold an item and want to cancel the transaction" and click Continue.
    1. Sign in to your account. The "Cancel a transaction" form appears.
    1. If you get to the Resolution Centre from your item listing, your item number is already filled in.
    • If you get there another way, enter your item number and click Continue.
    1. Under "Give the buyer a reason for wanting to cancel this transaction", indicate your reason for canceling and click Continue

  • What are the tickets for? Id offer them to the 2nd person as they are obviously wasting ur time...Id ask if they can collect to be on the safe side. It o.k going tghru the proccess and following the rules but you will be out of pocket. Your not going to get a neg as the person is obviously not interested. GO FOR IT SELL THEM ON!!

If you are within 4 days it shouldn't be possible to do an NPB and you'll almost certainly find you cannot proceed to the next screen.

Do not do a mutual though as that does not guarantee you your FVFs back.
