YAY|! Go Benjamin! How cute is baby clapping?? Just awesome :)

Very cute!! He was getting really confused because he was wanting to crawl but wanting to clap at the same time but didn't quite realise that he couldn't do both at the same time - he was up and down like a jack in a box!!!

Maybe he is just practicing it so he gets it right when he says it to you for the first time, like when you say 'I love you' for the first time, and he needed something that was as bright and beautiful as you :A

Morning lovely! Has C cooked you your duck yet?

Maybe you have a good point there! Perhaps he was exclaiming: 'mama! It is long past 12th night! Why are we still bedecked with all this christmas sparkle?' Clever boy!

The stupid thing was my Dad has a degree and was a teacher and head of department, and my Mam was assistant manager in a shop. Ex-inlaws both left school with no qualifications at all. He worked in unskilled manual jobs and ex-MIL has never worked at all. Yet somehow they were superior and looked down on my parents as if they were scum because we came from the north
The ironic thing is that when I was growing up people thought I talked posh. Although I definitely have a northern accent, it certainly isn't the strongest.

Oh, I have a sling question. Is a wrap sling suitable for older babies? I'd quite like to be able to carry Molly after she grows out of the babybjorn, but I'm not sure what would be best.
We used a wrap sling all the time until Alice was twelve months and then it gradually phased out over the next few months as she started walking. We had a stretchy on (the Kari-me) so bought a non stretchy one when she was about 11 months to give a firmer hold. We did end up still mainly using the stretchy one though as is was easier and it only really seemed to make a difference for back carries which we didn't do very often. Last time we used one, it was the non stretchy one when we went on a church walk just after Alice turned two which we used for the afternoon half of the walk because Alice was getting behind.

Currently Alice is "dusting" whilst wearing her Snow White dress and singing, "I work work work work work, it's what I love to do."

I was like that too but OH just goes 'dinnae be scared to touch his bawbag and that' while demonstrating that a good cleaning about with a wipe wouldn't do any harm. :rotfl: Delightful man :o
