Weezl or anyone that shops at the discount supermarkets - do any of them sell goats milk/cream/yoghurt? the milk is £1.34/£1.35 per litre in asda/tesco so if it works and we switch long term it's gonna be rather costly
Never seen it in Lidl sami, but don't get to Aldi very often...
Is soya a possibility, the milk is 63p a litre which is a little better?

Feely - do 'they' want you to stop BF so you can have certain meds and or so you have less of an excuse (in their view) to leave Toby to go to apps?
Its mainly the medication issue. The meds they want me on cause bad drowsiness though, so I'd have to stop co-sleeping. They don't 'get' that it is much easier and much less stressful to breastfeed and co-sleep. I find it really hard when LO cries, and as things are now he is a very happy baby.
I find the anxiety more of a barrier to getting to appointments than leaving Toby, he can go 2-3 (possibly 4) hours without a feed if I'm not around, or he is distracted.
OH is quite supportive of the breastfeeding now, having seen nephews being bottlefed over christmas.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Feelie I would hope that CC would try harder if she knows PALs have been in contact.

Also random hypothetical (currently) question, what do we think of the name Beulah (bee-u-la) for a girl?
Are you planning a girl in the forseeable future Sami? I think it sounds pretty, but it would get misspelled and pronounced by everyone.feelinggood wrote: »
Again giving up breastfeeding was mentioned.
I would tell 'em where to stick it if it were me. Are you still expressing, so that he can have EBM with the nanny while you are at appointments, or were you having probs with nipple confusion still? If so, have you tried doing EBM in a cup instead?Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

I only know of it from the model on This MorningNever seen it in Lidl sami, but don't get to Aldi very often...

the reasons being I've heard scary things about phyto-estrogens in soya
I don't think Chris would like soya milk (I've had it and it tasted mingyand goats milk tastes the same as cows really)
and some beleive there is something special in the goats milk that helps the eczema over other non cow milks
Thank you though xxfeelinggood wrote: »Its mainly the medication issue. The meds they want me on cause bad drowsiness though, so I'd have to stop co-sleeping. Glad OH is more supportive now
Just called the 'refuse helpline' and they have a hillarious message recorded by a woman in a proper wigan accent saying stuff about a 26 ton lorry being used 'owever some rooads deep with housing estates are stil trecherous so blah blah..0 -

I will start expressing when the Nanny is due to start, so I have some fresh in the fridge. I've got enough in the freezer (4000ml in mine, and 4000ml in my Mums) to last for a while.
Not tried a bottle for a while but he can drink out of a cup or beaker. Will see if he takes a bottle as it is a nice way to go to sleep, otherwise she can give him a cup of milk then take him for a walk.
I just get so fed up with asking and asking and asking for help, and nothing ever coming. So much is promised, but nothing happens. I used to have a Nurse who would come out to me and help with depression/anxiety management, but this new lady never offers to help with anything.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

I have Tara's book about choosing the sex of the baby at the ready
I think we'll have a gap closer to 3yrs though because I want a spring baby so thinking Ed being 2yrs 8-11mths rather than the 2yr 5mth gap the boys have (was aiming for 2yr 1-6mth gap with them)
I agree it would get mispronounced/spelled but seeing as all of us get our pretty damn simple names constanty mis spelt I'm not so bothered - I think the entire world becomes dyslexic when it comes to our names!
right just dashing to boots for my wipes :wave:0 -
Planning baba numero 3 Sami?
I agree with MM though, not a name I'd pick, I read it as BELUGA, so if she was a bit chubby, the jokes would be a bit endless....0 -

I don't suppose there's a local farm shop where goats are milked is there sami?
also, this stuff is 94p at the mo, so that's quite good for the boys to have on toast?
