    Hi Dora

    Clever Daniel :T

I'm not watching BB cos DH is watching darts AGAIN. Means I get to come on here with no interuptions though :j

Elle - talking about TV has just reminded me. We watched G&S earlier today. In the info bit on Sky it said that the fishing trip thing between Bryn and Jason was resolved but me and DH can't see where it was even mentioned. Are we just being thick?

Choppy I'm making DH watch it with me I'm evil!!
Also me and DH were thinking exactly the same thing when we watched it the other night?? We were totally confused too

Choppy, mix parsnip with mashed potato. Makes the tattie less gaggy and uses up the parsnip.

Hmm.. we have mashed spuds in our roast dinner and he didn't like it! Grrr.. ah well, maybe next time :)

If you are I am too cos I don't remember any mention of it. I think I read somewhere that there might be a bit about it on the extras of the DVD but I haven't opened my box set yet - vowed not to so I could see the final episode on NYD :A

Choppy - meant to say the other day, DH had laser surgery about 6 years ago. He paid £800 for both eyes, and he actually bought it through E-Bay. I think that sounds dodgy, but it was Optimax so all above board, but they offered it through E-bay and it was cheaper! It's the best thing he has ever done. He had Epi-Lasek I think but that's probably out of date now.

I had that exact situation Tia.
DS was three when Liv was born. She soon took over him talking, feeding herself and potty.
DS was 10 before he'd use the toilet.
A year after he was using the toilet, I found out I was having V. Everyone joked that i'd missed doing nappies for a year, so had to have another one.

Not sure if it will work for you - but DS really came on, copying Liv a lot. He didn't start feeding himself Liv did, and he was 5. And his sounds came on a lot from copying Liv.

Ex-OH sounds very much like yours. He still doesn't accept he made a less than perfect baby. He's had DS for an hour in the last 8 years, and had to phone me to pick him up because he didn't know what to do with him. And every christmas, he buys him something suited to a 12 year old boy, and moans at me for buying him the v-tech alphabet bus because its babyish. Its also the only toy in the world that he'll actually play with! (Oops, that turned into a bit of an ex rant - sorry!)

V has only just gone to bed.
After being up at 5.30 this morning, she had an hours sleep when OH took her out for a drive, then an hour later on this afternoon (too late probably!).
We took her up at 7.30 as usual, but she was standing in the cot shouting dadadadadadada!
I hope we can get her back to normal.

See, he was toilet trained for a few weeks. But looking back it was more, everyone else was trained to send him every 30mins. Then he got a bout of 2 week viral diarrhoea and went backwards. Its physical. he is just not getting cues from his body that he needs the loo or is doing the loo. He does sometimes, but not often enough and its now at the stage where other children don't notice that he has a nappy, but they do noticed if he wets himself (or the other one).

Don't get me wrong, DH is angry, but he does help and does everything he can for Chris. It's more that he is just generally angry and upset that he can't be fixed by an op or something than him being angry that he is disabled... if you get what I mean.

Your ex Oh sounds lovely have to say. Can't imagine why your no longer together

Beenie - Amber is beautiful. How are you finding everything?

Thank you! And thanks for asking :D I'm feeling surprisingly good, the HV came the other day to offer additional support because i had said i was worried about the first few days after baby was born and adjusting, being on my own and having DS - but i told her i'm fine and don't need anything
Having baby here does remind me how it could have been, with the ex but i'm trying to keep remembering how miserable he'd be making me if he were here.
I've text him a few times but he just replies with the same old carp, blaming me for our split and he still doesn't know baby's name. In fact he wouldn't even know she was alive and well if i hadn't opened my big mouth when i got the attack of the baby blues on Xmas night :o

I think that's one of the reasons i haven't been posting much lately, cos i am liable to bore everyone with my self pitying rants about ex. I miss him so much, but he's a diff person now, to who i miss.

p.s Super cute thumb sucking :Dhttp://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=10227827&l=7ea3bfa4ae&id=541645098

DS's specialist told us that until this chemical reaction happens in the brain - there is no point potty training. When we got to 6 or 7 I was convinced he was going to be in nappies for life. But something just clicked, and he started going to the toilet, and about two weeks later, he was dry at night. It was very bizarre.

When he started school, although it was a special school, I was worried about him being in nappies. The school head said that 99.9% of children he's had are out of nappies before big school - I didn't believe him, but he did it with a a year to spare. :D

Yes, Ex-oh is a star! I often wonder why we're not together any more.

    Eta: Beenie - she's beautiful!
And rant away about your ex. I occasionally find myself accidentaly ranting 8 years later. :o

Maddy doesn't really like plain veggies much so once a week I make a batch and add a packet of baby sauce to it, the tomato one today was nice. I mixed it with carrot, potatoe and swede. Made enough for a week with one 80p sauce.

Oh and my Ex-OH says there's nothing wrong with my DS.
Too many children, too little time!!!

Yay! :D When I clap in front of Rhys, he sticks his nose out so I can pinch it between my hands!:p

You do realise he's just getting you to do it so he can take it in, learn and then do it to you in the not-too-distant future, don't you?!? :rotfl:
