You could set up the dd from your parents acount, if they want to make a regular payment and then they would get the vouchers. They could then stop it or change the amount as the wished. Or you could set up the dd from your account and then they could set up a standing order into your account, and you would get the vouchers. Alternatively then can just send a cheque or make a debit card payment online, as and when, but no-one would get the vouchers!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Hello Mel
Will you update us with news of your older ones and your small one and your one on the way please? I love hearing about them allI've been fretting a bit about labour. Also a bit worried about what happens to fergie while it all goes on. I really clung to DH with fergie, so I don't want to do it without him.
Please don't fret, Weezlie - I thought your neighbour was going to take Fergie while your mum charged up in your direction? He'll be fine, he'll be able to explore next door and come home to a new little baby brother. It's so cool that they'll be so close together.I'm ever so glad there's a meet up of lots of you, but can I admit to feeling a bit jealous that there's a southern England contingent and a scottish contingent and a Wazza/manchester contingent. And Elle and Claire. And MFD and Kristal. And a london contingent.
And in Wales just a weezl:)
I know, I feel the same way
Busy day ahead, the cleaner is coming and the place is such a mess I'm not sure what she can even do, then we're off to Ikea to buy a display cabinet and some extra shelves. My idea is that if we move all the stuff that is display-type stuff onto the shelves, the storage areas where it's all currently hidden will become storage areas for nondisplay stuff and we will have more room.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

hello Mel
Sorry your posts got lost.
Were you going to say a bit more about what you've been thinking about Kai being born?
Sounds like it would be good to think it through so you know what choice to make about having baby 4 (oh my goodness! Baby 4 you are amazing! I genuinely don't know how you do it!)

Hi Mel
I was going to ask you about that too, but by the time I caught up and saw your post it was ages later and I thought you would have gone by then.Actually, whilst I'm here, can I ask for some advice on the Child Trust Fund please?
I keep trying to open the one through Quidco to get the money back and had hoped to get the vouchers too but can't really afford to put any of my own money in (putting some in an accessible account instead (Halifax at 6%).
Parents want to put some money into it the CTF (absolutely no idea how much) but are being a bit obtuse about how to do it. My theory was that they should give me the money and I would put it in via Direct Debit so that we could get the vouchers but they don't seem very keen on this and I don't want to push it in case they were only thinking about putting £50 in or something. (God, that sounds a bit ungrateful reading it back, just meant that I didn't want to assume the amount, am pleased they want to give her money on top of the things they already buy for her).
Anyway - can I set it up and then give them a paying in form or something similar so they can put the money in and maybe them get the vouchers (if I can explain it all in words of one silable for them) by doing a one off direct debit? This has been dragging on for 3 months now and I'm getting bored of the whole thing so any help you can give to help me get it over with will be very much appreciated.
TIA xxxxx
We set up the account first - now we have the account number then anyone can pay money in via standing order/one off bank payment. Would it be easier to do it that way? Set up the account then let them pay over whatever they like?Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Oh, and we've been up since 5am. Back down for a (quick) nap at 7. We've had breakfast, played, been on the wii (and broken the lightblulb - oops!) ... really should get something useful done. DH is going to take Izzy out for a walk into town when he gets up (which he will be doing shortly - we were instructed to wake him from his nap, and that is what we will do!) so I will have a chance to whizz round uninterupted for an hour or so

Haha Weezl, when we were going to the sling meet in Warrington, I was walking up to the venue and I saw Feelie, (remembered the pram and had seen a photo of her when she was pg) I thought I knew Feelies name but wasnt certain, so anyway there she was walking in a strange town with a little map and some random (me) goes over and says 'Hi are you ....' Poor Feelie answered with yes and then I was silent thinking in my head damn she doesnt know my name is Nichola, Im going to have to introduce myself as Sparkle ..... debating in my head if that might sound stupid and Feelie is probably thinking who is this nut job. Anyway I introduced myself as sparkle and we had a giggle!
Sorry bit random you just reminded me!
I'm just glad I wasn't walking down the road picking my nose!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Thanks guys.
I think the best thing to do is to just give up on the vouchers. I don't want to/cant afford to put money into the CTF as, in an emergency (ie: losing the house or something) I would like to be able to get to it and replace it further down the line if necessary.
I have said a few times that they should give the money to me and I would put it in for her using the direct debit but they seem very reluctant. Starting to make me think they don't trust me but there you go, it's up to them I guess, I just wanted to make the money work as hard as it could.
I will try to explain it all one more time tomorrow then I'm giving up. We'll miss out on the vouchers but get the Quidco instead.
I've spent ages looking for that bounty number but can't find it anywhere so I guess I've probably thrown it out by now. For the best I think as I can't really afford £40 for piccys. Especially when I took loads myself.
Got a few bits of Maternity clothes on Ebay ending tomorrow so that money will be able to go into the Halifax account too, as well as her birth and Christmas money that is still in her money boxes. Lucky girl got 3 lovely money boxes and there is money in each of them. I'll feel a lot happier once it is in the bank earning her some interest.
Sorry I can't help with Freecycle feelie, I've never used it. Sure one of the others will be on shortly.

Oooh Feelie, whilst you're here.
Kezia loves the bracelet. She rarely pulls away now and actually looks for it if I've already switched wrists ready for next time.
Thank you soo much again.
